Towards the end of the conversation, Busta Rhymes shared his thoughts on Diddy’s case. When asked about the changes in the hip-hop scene, he emphasized the importance of not framing the situation as a hip-hop issue, noting that it extended beyond that.

For him, true understanding came from clarity, knowledge, and wisdom, and he believed that passing premature judgment often led to confusion and could unintentionally impact those involved. Busta Rhymes further added:
“Now, I don't dispute what I see. If I see something, ain't nothing to talk about. But I wasn't there for none of it, and I also think that for the people who were there, let's think about them first before you think about your own opinion. Put prayers up for them all.”
Busta Rhymes urged people to be cautious about their comments and highlighted the distinction between propaganda and truth, emphasizing the need to wait for the facts before forming opinions.
Rhymes expressed that he would withhold his opinions about the Diddy case while stressing that people should refrain from getting involved until the truth is established. At this point, justice should be appropriately served for all parties concerned.
Busta Rhymes said he wouldn’t wish that for either the victims or Diddy
Busta Rhymes hoped that people would keep their opinions to themselves, recognizing that voicing opinions could potentially cause harm to others. Reportedly, he did not weigh in on the case because he had never witnessed anything Diddy was accused of. However, he added,
“It's unfortunate, because I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy, and I'm talking about for the victims and I'm talking about for Diddy. So, I'm gonna leave it there, and I'm gonna mind my business.”
Like Busta Rhymes, rapper 50 Cent reflected on how he used to joke about Diddy’s life during concerts and on social media before his recent legal issues in a People Magazine exclusive from October 21, 2024. The rapper explained that while his actions might seem outrageous, he had been repeating the same things he had been saying for the past decade. He added,
“Now it's becoming more full-facing in the news with the Puffy stuff, but away from that, I'm like, Yo, it's just my perspective because I stayed away from that stuff the entire time, because this is not my style.”
50 Cent is producing a documentary about the allegations against DIddy. According to a statement from 50 Cent's G-Unit Film & Television and director Alexandria Stapleton for House of Nonfiction, the documentary will delve into a complex narrative that spans decades, far beyond the headlines and clips seen so far.
While acknowledging the disturbing nature of the allegations, they stressed that Sean Combs' actions do not represent the entirety of hip-hop or its culture. Their goal is to ensure that the culture's broader contributions are not overshadowed by individual behavior.
