I've been absolutely dreading this..." - Kate Cassidy gets emotional unpacking items from her late boyfriend Liam Payne

Kate Cassidy is now once again grieving her late boyfriend, Liam Payne. In a video posted on TikTok, Cassidy is seen opening boxes containing gifts the late One Direction singer had once gifted her. In the video, as she unpacks the boxes, she becomes visibly emotional. She says:

'I’ve been absolutely dreading opening these boxes"

Back in December, Cassidy shared an Instagram Story featuring an angel-winged tattoo, presumably to honor the late singer. The "Strip That Down" singer passed away on 16 October last year, after a fatal fall from the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

According to People Magazine, toxicology reported that Payne had a mix of "alcohol, cocaine and prescription antidepressant" in his system. His funeral was held over a month later, with former bandmates Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Zayn Malik in attendance.

Kate Cassidy reflects on memories while unpacking gifts from Liam Payne

Kate Cassidy is experiencing a bittersweet moment as she organizes items associated with the later singer. In her video, she says:

'I’m packing up and organizing some things right now, and I’ve had these boxes sitting down in my basement for probably three or four months now. I’ve been absolutely dreading opening these boxes.”

In her video, she explains that she found a yellow satin dress that brought back a bittersweet memory prompting her to film the moment.

"I opened this box. I’m really trying to pull it together now. I found this dress at the top of the box. And this dress brings me so much peace and comfort because [of] the memory me and Liam had in this dress was just a memory that I will literally never forget.” Cassidy says holding back tears.

The influencer also shared that she found a pair of white Louboutin shoes she wore to the wedding with Liam. She says:

"We just had the best time and the best part about this is in another box I found these shoes. And I remembered the next morning, I woke up [and said] ‘Oh my God, look at my shoes they’re so ruined. I don’t know what to do with them.' ”

Cassidy recalled more details from the special night in her video.

"We literally just danced the night away. We were dancing all night, walking around this venue exploring.”

She added that she was grateful that she did not throw them away, as these items are extra special to her now.

"I can’t believe I didn’t throw these out because now … I’m so happy [I didn’t]. This memory is embedded in these shoes.”

Liam Payne and Kate Cassidy dated for two years before the former One Direction star's passing. Liam is survived by his son, Bear Grey, from his relationship with Cheryl Cole.
