'I am trying not to pull my hair out” — Rachel Zegler issues plea for help amid dog Lenny’s mysterious illness

Rachel Zegler has been making headlines this year ever since she starred in the movie Snow White. While the movie did not sit well with the audience, Zegler has been in the news for a different reason, which is making her "pull my hair out." Her pet dog Lenny has been suffering from a mysterious illness, and the actress is seeking help via social media.

On Sunday, the 23-year-old actress took to her Instagram handle to seek help for her furry friend. While she did not reveal which illness her pet is suffering from, she revealed that nothing is helpful for her in such circumstances.

Detailing the problems that her pet has been suffering from, Zegler wrote that he has "crazy diarrhea and a loss of appetite." She took her miniature goldendoodle to the vet twice, but nothing turned out to be helpful, as Lenny did not even touch his food. As a result, Rachel Zegler further informed that she began trying,

"An appetite stimulant and an anti-diarrhetic to try to get him to eat and settle his tummy."

"He has never been like this before, so I am really, really I stressed," the West Side Story star added.

She further mentioned how Lenny was reportedly playful despite the discomfort.

"We are drinking water and otherwise seemingly good. Unfortunately this comes 48 hours before we need to fly across the ocean. Anything would help."

Seeing how her pooch is in trouble, she added,

"I am trying not to pull my hair out."

However, things got better for Lenny, who was "still in high spirits. tail-wagging, alert, wanting to meet everybody, etc." In a follow-up story, she also revealed that Lenny was only drinking water and was not interested in food.

After a trip to the emergency room, it was discovered that Lenny had,

"Colitis, which is just his enflamed colon."

While the vets could not do much at that time, Rachel Zegler confirmed that her pooch was brave throughout.

Rachel Zegler has shared a few pictures with Lenny since June 2023. On March 13, 2024, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes star revealed that Lenny turned one and shared a carousel of his adorable pictures. In the caption, she revealed how Lenny entered her life when she was in desperate need of love.

"happy 1st birthday to my sweet pup, lenny. you came to me in a time where i desperately needed love without conditions or apprehensions, and you’ve given me what i consider to be the best version of being alive. i love you so much."

Last month, the actress celebrated her pet's second birthday and dropped another carousel.
