The legal battle between actor-director Justin Baldoni and actress Blake Lively has in the last few months embroiled quite a few cast and crew members of It Ends With Us, the film during the shooting of which the alleged harassment of Lively by Baldoni took place. On April 8, Page Six reported on Adam Mondschein’s response to a specific allegation mentioned in Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni.
Mondschein, who played the character of Dr. Dunbar in It Ends With Us, is also mentioned in Lively’s lawsuit. Responding to Lively’s allegations, Mondschein told Page Six:
“I’m not going to speculate as to Ms. Lively’s motivations for mentioning me in the complaint. Needless to say, my experience working with her is very different than the one she described in her lawsuit…indeed, I was surprised to read her description of the scene.”

Blake Lively’s allegations against Justin Baldoni and Adam Mondschein
Blake Lively had filed a lawsuit in December 2024, in which she alleged that she had been a victim of s*xual harassment during the production of It Ends With Us. Further, she had alleged that she faced retaliation from Justin Baldoni’s PR team because of the legal complaints of s*xual harassment that she had filed.
Among instances of s*xual harassment that Lively had mentioned in her lawsuit, one instance mentions the shooting of a scene that involved Adam Mondschein. In the film, Mondschein’s character plays the doctor who assists Lively’s character in giving birth.

According to Lively’s lawyers, the environment during the shooting of the birth scene was extremely uncomfortable for the actress. Per Page Six, Lively’s lawyers alleged that the environment during the shooting of the birth scene did not meet the industry norms. The lawyers argued that the environment was:
“chaotic, crowded, and utterly lacking in standard industry protections for filming n*de scenes”
Giving further details, Lively’s lawyers described the way that industry standards were compromised at the cost of the actress’ privacy. Per People magazine, Lively’s lawyers said that the production flouted industry standard norms by:
“allowing non-essential crew to pass through while Ms. Lively was partially nude from below the chest down with her legs spread wide in stirrups and only a small piece of fabric covering her g***talia.”
As per Page Six, the lawyers also alleged that it was Justin Baldoni who insisted that Lively be partially n*de for the scene. The lawyers said that the actress:
“felt forced into a compromise that she would be n**ed from below the chest down”

According to a report by People, Lively in her complaint alleged that she was not provided with any clothing to cover herself between takes. Lively’s complaint mentioned that it was only after repeated requests that her appeal for adequate provisions to cover herself was granted.
Responding to the specific allegation, Mondschein, as per Page Six, said:
“Her costume included a full hospital gown, black shorts and torso-covering prosthetic to make her appear pregnant in addition to whatever personal garments she chose.”
Blake Lively’s lawsuit mentioned that Lively found it humiliating that Justin Baldoni would select his good friend, Mondschein, to perform during the sensitive scene. Regarding the specific allegation, the complaint read:
“Ms. Lively felt that the selection of Mr. Baldoni’s friend for this intimate role, in which the actor’s face and hands were in close proximity to her nearly n*de g***talia for a birth scene, was invasive and humiliating.”
Responding to the allegation that he was selected for the role because he was Justin Baldoni’s friend, Mondschein, while speaking to Page Six, said:
“Ms. Lively’s insinuations regarding my qualifications are offensive, as my bonafides are easily searchable online”
As per People, Adam Mondschein has stated that he is ready to testify in court if need be.
