Pop Smoke's mother Audrey Jackson while speaking to Rolling Stones reporter Nancy Dillon opened up about facing loss of her son. Audrey's statement comes after one of the four men, Corey Walker, who was responsible for the rapper's death accepted a plea deal and was sentenced to 29 years in prison. According to a report by Rolling Stones, Walker was sentenced on charges of voluntary homicide on February 5.
While speaking to Rolling Stones, Pop Smoke's mother mentioned that the trial is over for everybody except her,
"This never ends for me. And that's unfair. I appreciate they (fans) got justice to the fullest extent of the law. But my life doesn't change. I still don't have my son. I wil continue to work on his legacy, but that's also a reminder that he's not here."
Croey Walker was accused of leading three juveniles to a rented Airbnb property the morning of the shooting in 2020. Walker was 19 at the time of the murder and will serve two terms simultaneously for charges of robbery and manslaughter. Additionally, Walker has also pleaded guilty to charges of home invasion robbery with gun and gang enhancements.

While mourning the loss of his son who was shot in an altercation in 2020, Audrey Jackson mentioned that she is not holding animosity for the perpeutors, while speaking to Rolling Stones,
"I have not been holding animosity. I've just been getting through this. There's just nothing to say. Everybody's life has been ruined."
Audrey has no plans of attending Corey Walker's sentencing hearing on February 21 and instead plans to organize a gala the same night to celebrate Pop Smoke's life
Walker who was 19 at the time of the murder, was initially charged with murder, robbery, and burglary and faced a life sentence without parole if convincted. Prosecutors mentioned that he could face the death penalty in July 2020, however this was prevented by the policies.
Three juveniles, including a 15-year old shooter who amitted to killing the rapper during the home invasion was also charged. The 15-year old received 50 years to life but as per California law, he can only be held until age 25. However, the other two juveniles, aged 16 and 17, admitted to lesser charges and were placed in juvenile detention facilities at the time, as per reports.
