Gayle King opened up about Megan Thee Stallion lying about her relationship with rapper Tory Lanez in a ‘CBS Mornings’ interview in 2022.

In her documentary, Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words, released on October 31, the singer admitted that she lied about dating Tory Lanez.

In the documentary, Megan reflected upon the interview with Gayle. She revealed that she wasn’t aware that she would be quoted on it. She clarified that she and Lanez had been involved “once or twice” while drunk, which according to her was irrelevant to the actual incident of him shooting her.

"Yes, b*tch. I lied to Gayle King, b*tch. First of all, I ain't know that b*tch was even finna ask me about that shit. I thought we was gonna talk about this shooting. Why is you asking me about f*ck*ng Tory? That's not what this is about. Even if I was…I f*cked that n---a like once, maybe twice on a drunk night. You kept catching me out of my f*ck*ng mind." The Mamushi singer said.

In an exclusive interview with TMZ, Gayle reacted to Megan’s confession:

“I thought it was the first time she was telling her story, and it bothered me that so many people didn’t believe her story. So, I wanted to get from her firsthand. Why she said, what she said to me is really on her. I’m still nuts about her. I think she’s been through a lot, and I can’t wait to see her documentary. I’m cheering her on.” King added while showing her support for Megan.
