Below Deck star Aesha Scott says she won't be sticking to tradition in her upcoming wedding.

In an exclusive interview with People Magazine, she reflected on how she's preparing for her March 2026 nuptials with husband-to-be Scott Dobson:

“We have got a venue, a videographer, a photographer and I've organized the DJ,” she told the outlet. “We're doing a saxophone-playing DJ because I love the saxophone. Get the sax out and put the bangers on!”

Adding that she's got the menu sorted out, she said:

“We're going down a not-so-traditional route, and we are doing all Thai food because I'm obsessed with Thai,” she says. “If I'm a little bit tipsy after the afternoon drinks, I want to sit down, I want to slurp up a curry. I just want to sit there in spice heaven, so we're going to do Thai food.”

Scott Dobson proposed to Aesha Scott back in May 2024 in Homunga Bay, New Zealand. The pair will also be tying the knot there, as it is their native.

Aesha Scott shares what her upcoming nuptials are going to look like: Here's what we know so far

Speaking with the outlet, Aesha Scott reflected on what she and her guests will be sipping on during the wedding weekend. Guests can expect a Chief Stew cocktail that she created with Canada Dry Ginger Ale’s Fruit Splash flavor as a welcome, and it consists of vanilla vodka, cherry brandy, sweet vermouth and a hint of Canada Dry.

“Martinis are my favorite, favorite thing,” the reality star says. “I don't like cocktails when there's just too much volume. You just feel so full and uncomfortable afterwards. I just want something that's less quantity but really, really quality and you just enjoy every sip.”

Scott also reflected on what a "hard call" it was for her and her husband to pick their wedding destination, as she told the outlet:

“Being such a global couple, we really could have done it anywhere. Scott's half American, so he's got a lot of family in California, but we decided at the end of the day, the bulk of our guest list is going to be from our hometown here in Tauranga in New Zealand, so we're going to do it here. I'm at that age where pretty much all of my friends have young babies or are pregnant with their second, so I thought they're not going to want to jump on a plane and lug their whole family everywhere. It's better just to have it around where we grew up.”

As for their honeymoon, it's been just as "hard to decide on,” Scott says.

“We really don't want to do the classic island holiday because we both get so bored. The idea of relaxing on a beach for a week is not super appealing, so we want to do something a bit more action-based.”

Aesha Scott and Dobson are slated to compete on the next season of Amazing Race Australia, which she told the outlet granted them “really, really priceless experiences.”
