British singer Charlie Emma Atchinson, best known to the world as Charli XCX, announced a collaboration with Converse just this Friday, October 25. Details about the same remain scarce, although this will likely change in the coming months. Charli XCX said, in a statement,
“I wear my Chucks so much they have holes in them, so I was really excited to work with Converse so I could get a new pair. They’re iconic."
The brand announced the news on Instagram on Saturday, October 26, and fans were overjoyed. Many could not help but express their feelings in the post's comments section.
"I’m so obsessed it hurts."
Others concurred, pointing out that the collaboration could not have come at a better time for the singer.
"Whatever charli wants me to buy I’ll buy it," one user professed.
"MY BANK ACCOUNT STOP," another joked.
"MUST BUY CONVERSE NOW!!!" one user exclaimed.

Users online were ostensibly ecstatic upon learning the news:
"so iconic," one user simply stated.
"PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE RESTOCK BILLIE CONVERSE AND I WILL BUY BOTH CHARI AND BILLIE ONES," someone else begged.
"We are buying," someone asserted.
Most online users were teeming with anticipation on Instagram and X for more details.
Charli XCX joins Billie Eilish, Tyler, The Creator, and more
Charli XCX is not the only celebrity to hop on a Converse collaboration. Those before her who have done the same include Tyler, The Creator, and Billie Eilish. The brand has also joined forces with giants like Blondie, Curt Cobain AC/DC, and Metallica Chuck Taylors, as well as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Alexis Sablone, Rick Owens, and Isabel Marant in the past.
The singer took to Instagram to show off her new kicks as she stars in the brand's 2024 holiday campaign. In the image, shot by photographer Sharna Osborne, Charli can be seen clad in some Chuck Taylors, with several other such kicks in different colors strewn about.
As for Billie Eilish's collaboration, it came just this month as well, as the What Was I Made For singer took to social media to give fans the news. The singer shared an image of herself holding a shoe that read "And Soft" on the bottom-- which was a nod to her latest album, Hit Me Hard and Soft.
The brand confirmed the same not long after, revealing that the Billie Eilish Chuck Taylor All-Stars retailed for $100, and the Chuck Taylor All-Star Lift Platform, $110, would be available on their website. As a treat for fans, these kicks are customizable, allowing purchasers to select their lyrics, colors, and visuals from the singer's latest album.
