Singer Clairo has postponed her Toronto shows of the Charm tour due to "extreme exhaustion" and fans are not happy.
The singer had scheduled three shows at Toronto's Massey Hall starting on October 23 night, but posted a statment on her social media channels on the same day, notifying fans of the cancellation.
"I know this is disappointing to everyone who bought tickets to see me play but I'm struggling with extreme exhaustion and have been advised to go home until our Boston shows. I want you to experience the best show possible, and I'm not in a place to do that right now. I will share updates as I have them regarding refunds, a rescheduled show date that will honour your current tickets, etc."
The singer urged fans to "hold onto" their tickets and appreciated their understanding while promising that she'll "make it up" to them.
Fans were not happy to see the singer cancel the show on the same day and took to the comment section of her X post, expressing their disappointment,
Users noted that many people had already lined up at the venue for the concert and asked Clairo if they should go back home.
it’s funny because you’re posting this the night of your 1st concert in toronto when people are already lining up. then, you’re continuing in boston which is RIGHT AFTER toronto? make it make sense? - a user questioned
Girl, the doors opened at 7…. You posted after doors opened that you’re postponing. People waited hours for this and travelled far from out of province. This is ridiculous. - another fan noted
However, some fans were supportive of her decision and urged Clairo to take all the rest she needs to feel better.
"I was just thinking about how many shows you’ve been doing! Glad you have it in you to know how exhausted you are!!" - another user commented
"rest and take good care of yourself, hope you feel better soon ily🤍" - says another user
