"I love Tiger and I love Vanessa” - Donald Trump reacts to ex-daughter-in-law dating pro golfer Tiger Woods

Donald Trump seems to approve of the relationship between his ex-daughter-in-law, Vanessa, and Pro golfer, Tiger Woods. Trump, while speaking to reporters in the Oval Office on Monday, shared that he loves both Vanessa and Woods and is happy for them. Vanessa was married to Don Jr., Trump's eldest son with his first wife Ivana Trump.

Vanessa is the ex-daughter-in-law of Donald Trump, who is serving as the President of the United States for a second time. Vanessa was married to Donald Trump Jr. from 2005 to 2018. Vanessa is currently dating golfer Tiger Woods as confirmed by the latter via Instagram.

According to People Magazine, Donald Trump was answering reporters at the Oval Office on Monday, March 31, when he was asked how he felt about Tiger Woods and Vanessa's relationship. He replied that he loves both Vanessa and Woods and shared that he had even played golf with Woods a few times.

Trump said:

"I love Tiger and I love Vanessa....He and I have a very special, very good relationship with Tiger. I played golf with him a couple of times over the last month, and he's a fantastic guy and a fantastic athlete."

While approving of the couple's relationship, Trump also reportedly stated that Vanessa and Don Jr. had a fun relationship, but mentioned that it was very sad for him when they broke up. He shared that:

"Vanessa and Don had a very good relationship. They have incredible children, five incredible children. All good athletes, all great students alike. Right? And, they broke up, you know, quite a while ago. And, which was to me very sad because I think they're both great."

Vanessa and Don Jr got divorced in 2018, after almost 13 years of marriage. The ex-couple also shares five kids. According to multiple reports, Vanessa reportedly began dating pro golfer, Tiger Woods in November 2024. Their relationship was confirmed by Woods via an Instagram post on March 24, 2025.

Trump states that he is "very happy" for both Vanessa and Woods.

While talking about his ex-daughter-in-law and her new relationship, Trump further added that he is happy for them both. He shared that:

"He told me about it, and I said, 'Tiger, that's good, that's good.' I'm very happy for both. Just let them both be happy. Let them both be happy. They're both great."

It seems like Vanessa's relationship with Woods has full support from her ex's family because, under Woods's Instagram post confirming the couple's relationship, Vanessa's ex-sister-in-law and Don Jr.'s sister, Ivanka Trump commented that she is happy for them both.

Meanwhile, People magazine, who confirmed on March 13 that Vanessa and Woods were in a relationship, citing a source also stated that Don Jr. is reportedly "cool" with the relationship between his ex-wife and Woods.
