During a recent appearance on the This Past Weekend with Theo Van podcast, country singer Morgan Wallen opened up about reasons he loves his 4 1/2 year old son, Indigo Wilder's "little attitude."

Morgan Wallen's son, Indigo Wilder Wallen, was born in July 2020 to Wallen and his ex-fiancee, Katie "KT" Smith. As per People, the couple was in an on-again, off-again relationship between 2016 to 2019 but split for good before Indigo was born.

"I think it just gets better and better as the older he gets. I mean, it's always been cool, but you know. He's 4 years old now, he'll be 5 this year. Just a personality that keeps coming out and the relationship that you build. He's got a little sass on him. He's got a little attitute, you know, which I like. I like that spunk."

Morgan Wallen then went on to give an example of an interaction between his son and his father, saying,

"Yesterday, my dad was telling him - he was trying to get him to eat. It's kind of a task to get him to eat, to sit still long enough to eat. And my dad was like, 'Hey man, if you don't eat I'm going to put you in the bedroom and you're going to go to sleep', or whatever. I don't know exactly what my dad said to him."

He then noted his son's response, which was,

"But he looked at my dad and he said, 'I don't want you to stay here anymore.' I mean, it's just hilarious, you know?"

"This is the first time that he's ever cared" - Morgan Wallen says about his son's reaction to his career

Elsewhere in the podcast, Morgan Wallen mentioned that his 4 1/2 year old son, Indigo, didn't quite know what he does for a living until he started working on his upcoming album, I'm the Problem.

"It's the first time it seems like he's starting to put two and two together. I would come after I'd been writing and I would show him songs. This is the first time that's he's ever cared."

Morgan then revealed that Indie had come to like one of his yet-to-be-released song, Eyes Are Closed. The country singer revealed that while reacting to the music, Indigo "moseyed" on over and asked him, "Oh, what's this?" Indigo then asked him to play the song again, which made the song a success in his eyes.
