Jamie Foxx recently became vocal about Sean 'Diddy' Combs' parties and addressed their friendship of years. Foxx, who recovered from a health scare in 2023, clarified rumors that the rapper tried to poison him and slammed them. He even indirectly mentioned the 'freakoffs' that Combs allegedly threw and confirmed that he left his parties early.
Rumors were rife as several eyewitnesses claimed to have attended the taping of Foxx's Netflix special What Had Happened Was... in Atlanta. The taping went on for three nights and a rumor got out that Diddy was behind Foxx's health issue.
For the unversed, Diddy has been in jail since September as he is facing s*x trafficking and racketeering charges. However, he has maintained his innocence ever since.
The rumors also claimed that Foxx called the FBI after Diddy poisoned him which led to his arrest. As the stand-up show came out, the Oscar-winning actor has made things straight.
In the streaming giant's special, Jamie Foxx joked that "Puffy," Diddy's other nickname, tried to kill him but he later revealed that he left the hip-hop mogul's party by 9 p.m.
"The internet was trying to kill me, though. The internet said Puffy tried to kill me. I know what you’re thinking, did he?"
"Hell, no, I left those parties early, I was out by 9 pm, because something don’t look right, it’s slippery in here," he added.
Diddy has been charged with assaulting several women at his parties which are termed as 'freak-offs.' Several music industry stars also allegedly attended those parties.
Later in the show, the Day Shift star joked that Combs might be the devil. He said,
"If it was Puffy, he had a flaming bottle of Johnson &…I’m just kidding."
What were the rumors about Jamie Foxx and Diddy's friendship?
According to Page Six, producer Arthur Alston claimed that he attended two of the three shows by Jamie Foxx. He alleged that Foxx disappeared during his health scare and claimed that he retreated as he was scared of Diddy.
"He out now, soon as Puff went to jail, right? We see him at the game with [Dallas Cowboys owner] Jerry Jones, right? … We haven’t seen him. As soon as Puff went to jail, [Foxx] was at the godd--n Dallas football game, right? And now he just went and shot his special. And who’s the special strongly based around? Diddy."
Another one claimed that Jamie Foxx admitted he was drugged by Diddy.
However, Diddy's team has dismissed all the rumors and called them ridiculous and baseless.
