Soulja Boy has a reputation for living a lavish lifestyle, and his most recent Instagram story is no different. In the clip, the rapper flexes his brand-new diamond-encrusted grillz, expanding his jewelry collection.

The video clip immediately went viral and shows the rapper smiling broadly, giving his fans a close-up view of the grillz. Many viewers weren't sure they were witnessing the genuine thing, even though the diamonds sparkled in the light. A viewer accused the rapper of using a filter, by commenting "I know a filter when I see one."

Known for being in the limelight for his extravagant lifestyle, the rapper, with his recent post on the internet, went crazy with some accusing the rapper of using filters while some just poked hilarious jabs at the rapper. A user commented,

"I know a filter when I see one."

It didn't take much time for the rest of social media to chime in, another user commented,

"Take that damn filter off...you a boy"

doubting the authenticity of the image. While another user mocked his new look, saying,

"Bro trying so hard to look majestic"

A couple of fans were more interested in the Marlon Wayans-Soulja Boy feud, where both of them have been dissing each other back and forth.

"Why hasn't he responded to marlon wayans diss track yet?"

At first, several fans were unable to identify the rapper at all, with one saying,

"pretty boy swag, i ain't know who that n*gga was for a sec"

while others confused him for other artists, one commented,

"Thought this was Macy Gray"

while the other, user commented

"I thought this was Lil Nas X"

Another user poked fun at the rapper by bringing up his past dental work.

"we ain't forget what your teeth was like before the veneers and diamonds."

The comment referred to this photo which was shared by his dentist.

However not all comments were critical, another praised Soulja Boy for his glow-up by commenting,

In the past, the rapper has made bold financial claims, including his controversial $400 million endorsement deal in 2016. Despite making headlines, the true value—which was far less than he claimed—was never revealed.

He has also bragged about owning a number of properties and pricey cars, although some of these claims—like purchasing a $55 million private jet—were later refuted.

Following its 2018 debut, his "SouljaGame" system was found to be a rebranded emulator, leading to legal issues with Nintendo.

Soulja Boy's sexual assault and domestic violence allegations

As the rapper is facing legal issues by his former personal assistant, he faces up to more than four years if found guilty. His legal issues have become worse as he has been accused of sexual assault, domestic violence, and kidnapping. By claiming that the lady was never employed and that their connection was voluntary, his legal team refutes the accusations. The trial started in Santa Monica in the month of March 2025.

The rapper has been accused of similar things before. Nia Riley (2021), an ex-girlfriend of the rapper said that he placed a gun to her head and kicked her during her pregnancy, resulting in a miscarriage. She also accused him of "constant abuse" while they were in a relationship.
