Storyboard artist and female crew member of It Ends with Us, Talia Spencer, has spoken in defense of Justin Baldoni amid his lawsuit with Blake Lively.

In a segment of 60 Minutes Australia, on April 13, Talia Spencer was interviewed by the Australian news program while they discussed Blake Lively and Baldoni's ongoing legal battle.

Talia described Baldoni as "one of the few directors I've worked for who was kind and respectful." She then allegedly accused Blake of taking advantage of Baldoni for power.

"I feel like maybe Blake smelled his kindness, mistook it for weakness and tried to take advantage and take power."

Talia looked back at the time Baldoni recruited her to work on the film and said that she joined the project because she felt Baldoni cared "a lot about the vision of what we're trying to do here and (he was) not in it for fame."

When the interviewer asked if she believed Blake Lively tried to seize control of the film, Talia said,

"I think she tried to, yes."

Talia went on to emphasize that she believes "there was a massive compromise in terms of Justin's original vision for the film." She noted that she finds Blake's allegations against him "very hard to believe," considering his "mission statement of the film." She also believes Justin pitched that he was doing the film to "help young women."

Elsewhere in the segment, Talia also mentioned that it's "definitely a bit sad" for the legal battle to overshadow the movie's success and wished that both parties could "put their sword down." She continued,

"It's a little too late for that. I hope that the truth comes out, I hope that the innocent parties are proven innocent and we move on."

The romantic drama film is based on Colleen Hoover's novel of the same name and features the story of Lily Bloom and Ryle Kincaid, and features the latter's cycle of abuse and trauma.

Blake Lively makes the 2025 TIME 100 List amid Justin Baldoni's legal battle

Blake Lively was named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people in 2025. The list was released on April 16. Lively, in an Instagram post, thanked the magazine for considering her and said,

"It's an honor to be acknowledged on the @time 100 list for 2025. To be written about by the great @sherrilynfill is not something I take lightly."

Lively's name on the list comes four months after she filed a lawsuit against It Ends with Us director and co-star Justin Baldoni for s*xual harassment, creating a "hostile work environment," and causing her "severe emotional distress" while they worked together on the film.

In response, Baldoni launched a $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times for their coverage of Lively's allegations.
