Captain America: Brave New World is one of the most anticipated superhero films of 2025. Releasing on February 14th, 2025, the Julius Onah directorial will take Captain America's story forward. Recently, a new star from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) spoke about his future in the franchise and his role in Avengers: Doomsday.

Captain America: Brave New World's Danny Ramirez talks about his MCU future

Danny Ramirez spoke to Screen Rant about the rumors that he has a role in Avengers: Doomsday. However, he refuted all the claims and said that he was not doing that film. He said,

"I hope so. I haven't gotten the call yet, so I always keep my phone in near me just in case that call comes. But I hope so. I think I'll pitch myself real quick. I'm just kidding. No, it's an exciting prospect, but obviously anything goes in this world, so hopefully when you go and watch this movie, I think hopefully it gives an answer, but maybe it doesn't. Who's to say."

The comments made by Ramirez make it clear that he might not appear in future MCU films beyond Captain America: Brave New World.

Captain America: Brave New World is helmed by Julius Onah and produced by Marvel Studios. The 35th entry in the MCU, the film is about Sam Wilson aka Captain America (played by Anthony Mackie) who has to uncover and stop an international plan of destruction.

Here's the official synopsis,

Sam Wilson, the new Captain America, finds himself in the middle of an international incident and must discover the motive behind a nefarious global plan.

The story is by Rob Edwards, Dalan Musson, and Malcolm Spellman; they also wrote the screenplay with Peter Glanz and Julius Onah.

There is speculation that the audience might also witness Harrison Ford in the role of Red Hulk. Speaking to Fandango, Onah said,

"The Hulk character is such an expression of pure id, but there’s something about, especially a rage Hulk, that is so relatable and exciting for an audience, but there’s also a real thematic core when it comes to the expression of that anger in this film, and what it means about the conflict at the center of this film."

Captain America: Brave New World will be released on February 14, 2025.
