Rapper and Belizian politician Shyne is all set to speak up about his controversial life in the new documentary The Honorable Shyne. Hulu recently dropped the trailer for the documentary, in which the rapper will open up about being the "fall guy" for Sean Diddy Combs.
Shyne has alleged that Diddy "destroyed" his life as he faced a decade in prison while the latter was acquitted despite being charged in the case. Following his remarks, DJ Funk Flex has defended Combs and accused the rapper of being a liar.
The new documentary is set to air on November 18. The rapper and politician discussed his struggle-filled journey in the documentary and even opened up about the controversies that changed his life. Discussing the 1999 nightclub shooting, the 45-year-old claimed he was "absolutely set up to be the fall guy."
"I spent ten years in prison but I was able to move on. There’s a time to pivot, there’s a time to transition."
DJ Funk Flex is seemingly unhappy with Shyne's remarks about Diddy, who has been facing multiple allegations of s*xual abuse in the past year. According to a clip going viral on social media, Flex called out Shyne and claimed he was a "liar." He added that he could not "stand" the politician as he had no "guts." Flex further threatened the rapper and said that he would "expose" him.
In the clip, Flex also talked about the allegations that Diddy is facing. As attorney Tony Buzbee revealed that he has plans to represent 120 individuals who accuse Diddy of assault, abuse, and more, Flex mentioned that he can not believe it. He said,
"120 people s*xually assaulted by Diddy, for real? 120 people, s*xually assaulted by Diddy. Stop. Just say you're broke and you need money. You know what we don't like here, you know the situation we don't like. That video with Cassie and Diddy was an awful video to watch, and that shouldn't happen to any woman. But assaulting 120 people sounds st*pid."
What happened in the 1999 incident involving Shyne and Diddy?
On December 27, 1999, a New York nightclub in Manhattan saw a fight breaking out. Diddy allegedly fired his gun after the fight, which led to three bystanders getting injured. Diddy reportedly left the scene with Jennifer Lopez, his then-girlfriend. While Lopez's charges were dropped, Diddy was acquitted in 2001. However, Shyne faced imprisonment for the charges.
