Media personality Kylie Kelce, spouse of former professional football center Jason Kelce, has shared her thoughts on pregnancy in the March 27, 2025, episode of the Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce podcast. Speaking from her experiences of giving birth, Kylie said she never had a soundtrack as she watched shows during labor, adding:
“I like the idea of having an epidural. People who dismiss birth with an epidural as being not a true birth experience, I can promise you from the bottom of my heart I felt every part of labor. Thank you. I knew what was happening. I could feel everything. Was it painful? No, but that's the point of the fat needle in my back.”
Kylie Kelce shared that she followed the guidance of the hospital's medical staff, emphasizing her deep trust and appreciation for labor and delivery nurses, whom she saw as incredible caregivers.
She also expressed her strong admiration for her OBs, saying she valued them immensely. While she relied on medical advice, she acknowledged that choosing an unmedicated birth is a personal decision.
“I have not had a shift in my birth plan that has caused a C-section but I've seen just a number of triggering comments over the weekend on certain TikToks where people have been told by relatives or other people in their life that because they had an emergency C-section or a C-section that was scheduled, that they um did not experience birth.”
Kylie Kelce firmly responded that people should mind their own business when it comes to how a baby is delivered. She emphasized that the person they are commenting on just carried a child, and for whatever reason, the baby needed to be born a certain way. She made it clear that this decision is personal and not something others should judge.
Kylie Kelce said mothers should choose the best for themselves
Kylie Kelce defended those who have undergone a C-section, reminding people that it is a major abdominal surgery to bring a baby into the world. She was shocked that some would criticize it and warned against making such comments around her.
She emphasized that carrying and delivering a baby is an incredible feat, with the mother doing most of the work, and urged people to keep negative opinions to themselves if they have nothing supportive to say while adding:
“I cannot believe that you have the audacity and this is on being 38 weeks pregnant, preparing for birth not knowing what's going to happen and getting triggered by TikTok comments. I am sweating again and my face is hot.”
Kylie Kelce hoped everyone would get their birth plans. Preparing to give birth for the fourth time, she emphasized that every mother should choose what works best for them.
She explained that birth plans outline personal preferences, including home births, water births, medication choices, hospital deliveries, music, partner involvement, or specific comfort measures like showers or massages. She reminded others that each person’s experience is unique, and no one has to live by someone else’s decisions.
