Ayesha Howard has been locked in a legal battle with Anthony Edwards, the father of their five-month-old daughter, Aubri Summer Howard. She now claims that she feels unsafe, fearing for both her and her child's life.
In an Instagram Story, the social media personality wrote:
"I fear for me and my child’s life.”
A few days ago, Howard defended the Minnesota Timberwolves player after a mother shared a video refusing to buy her son shoes from Anthony Edwards' brand, alleging that he was not a good father.
In response to the video, Ayesha Howard said,
"I'm not sure if this child knows of Anthony's personal issues, and if he doesn't, I think it's unfair to take away the part of Anthony that he does admire, which is obviously his basketball talent. Anthony is a great player, but the mother is in control of what she supports from a moral woman's standpoint."
According to Howard, Edwards allegedly informed her through text that he did not wish to be involved in their child's life and then proceeded to block her on all platforms.
Her statement submitted to the court, obtained by Page Six, read:
"Upon informing Anthony of the pregnancy, he blocked me on all communication platforms and made it clear, through text messages, that he did not want to be involved in the life of our child. His exact words were that our daughter would be a ‘fatherless child.’”
She further added:
"From that point on, Anthony never reached out to me to inquire about my well-being, the well-being of our child, or any of the needs I had during my pregnancy. I did not receive any support, emotional, financial or otherwise — throughout the entire duration of my pregnancy.”
Anthony Edwards has repeatedly refused visitation or custody rights for his child with Howard. According to reports, he had earlier asked her to get an abortion after learning about the pregnancy via text message.
According to the In Touch Weekly, his statement reads:
“I am not seeking child custody or visitation of Aubri. Therefore, the only issues to be resolved are financial in nature.”
More about Ayesha Howard's claim of being stalked
Ayesha Howard alleges that she is being stalked amid escalating tensions in her legal battle with Anthony Edwards. This certainly adds another layer of complexity to their ongoing dispute.
She said:
"We are being stalked and harassed sun up to sun down by a party that has already admitted to surveillancing my every move. Because at this point, what do you want?”

Although it is unclear whom she is referring to in her message, it comes at a time when both parties are locked in a legal battle as to whether Georgia or California should be considered as the place for the birth of their child.
Anthony and his legal team argue for Georgia, claiming Ayesha moved to California to take advantage of the state's child support laws.
The statement obtained by In Touch Weekly reads:
"[Ayesha’s] conduct here is unjustifiable and a bad faith attempt to obtain a higher child support order. Ayesha’s conduct of manufacturing a false reality and using the parties’ child for financial gains should not be tolerated."
Fans have expressed concern for her claims of being stalked, with many reaching out to her to offer support and encouragement.
