Hayden Christensen paid tribute to his Star Wars castmate Ewan McGregor for his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi at the Hollywood Walk of Fame induction ceremony.

At Ewan McGregor's Hollywood Walk of Fame induction ceremony on September 12, Christensen recalled the moment he met his "brother" for the first time on the Australian set of 2022's Attack of the Clones:

"I walk into this room where I'm told Ewan is going to be, and before I can even put eyes on him, I hear his voice. And he exclaims my name with more enthusiasm than I think I'd ever heard it spoken with before. I turn and I see him, and then he's coming at me, and he just gives me the biggest hug. Like, just the most disarmingly warm embrace."

Christensen went on to add that McGregor was just "the nicest person" and told him how excited he was for them to start working together.

Hayden Christensen played Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in the prequel movies and the Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka. Obi-Wan is Anakin's mentor in the series. While speaking about their first encounter on the set, Christensen also praised McGregor's work as Obi-Wan over the years and said watching him was "like watching magic" and the "best kind of magic."

Christensen added that McGregor captured all the qualities associated with the character from Alec Guinness's portrayal of the older Obi-Wan in the original trilogy, while also bringing his own depth and emotion to the role:

"I was in complete awe the whole time."

This deep admiration reflects the profound impact McGregor had on Christensen, both as a colleague and as a performer.

Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor on Obi-wan Kenobi Season 2

While Disney+ has released the first season of Obi-Wan Kenobi, castmates Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen have expressed their interest in a possible second season. According to an article published by Variety on September 1, McGregor praised Alec Guinness's work and suggested that their story might not be finished:

He said that between the end of season 1 and when Alec Guinness appears on screen with Luke Skywalker, "there's another few stories to tell in there":

"I really hope we get a chance to do another one."

Anakin Skywalker actor Hayden Christensen also expressed his hope for a season 2, stating that it's a "no-brainer" if it means he gets a chance to do more with Ewan. However, Disney+ has not indicated any news of a possible season 2.
