Storm Reid is pushing back on critics who say she isn't cut out for college.

The Euphoria alum slammed a rude commenter for criticizing her decision to attend college. The comment in question read:

"College isn't a flex, success is. And college isn't needed to be successful. College just pushes people into debt. Unless you're becoming a doctor or something, a lot of people don't even use their degrees."

Reid, who shared that she will be graduating from the University of Southern California's School of Dramatic Arts this May, noted in her TikTok video that while she typically ignores such comments, she wasn't going to let this one go:

"I'm all for people having their own opinions," Reid explained. "But let's be real. Let's tap into reality. I did that. And I also got an Emmy while doing it, in college, 20 years old, junior in college.

Here's how Storm Reid clapped back against critics who said she shouldn't go to college:

In her TikTok video, Storm Reid began:

"What do we call my success, plus going to college? My success plus getting a degree? What are we gonna call that? Let me know." She continued, "And you're right, college isn't for everybody, but it was for me. I wanted to go. I felt like I needed to go. I was able to do that and work full time. I wanted to work and I wanted to further my education, so I did that."

She then pointed out that she got into a school with an acceptance rate of just 12%, which has since dropped to 8%.

"So, babe, again, back to my first question: What do we call being in college — about to graduate, actually — what do we call graduating plus being successful?" she said. "What do we call it? I would love to know."

Storm Reid has been busy, with two films scheduled for release soon: the comedy Killing Winston Jones and Get Lite. However, she will not be returning for the third season of Euphoria, where she played Gia, the younger sister of Zendaya's Rue.

Last year, the former child actress won her first Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for her role in HBO’s The Last of Us. She is also known for her contributions to 12 Years a Slave and When They See Us.

Now 21 years old, Storm Reid is slated to graduate with a bachelor’s degree from the School of Dramatic Arts with a minor in African American Studies next month.
