Hulk Hogan's ex-wife Linda accuses daughter Brooke of narcissism amid claims of childhood mental abuse

Rifts within the family of Hulk Hogan have been garnering media attention ever since Linda Hogan, who was married to the professional athlete for almost 25 years, released a tearful video on social media accusing Hogan of causing emotional havoc in the lives of his family members. During the accusations and counter-accusations that followed, Linda Hogan alleged that her daughter Brook Hogan was a narcissist.

Hulk Hogan and Linda Hogan have two children together. They are parents to a daughter, Brooke, born in 1988, and a son, Nick, born in 1990.

Brooke Hogan, who is an actor and a producer, responded to her mother’s emotional video, adding her own take on it. In Brooke’s social media post, Hulk Hogan’s daughter alleged that she had suffered mental and physical abuse during her childhood. In the post, Brooke wrote,

“I have been EXTREMELY verbally and mentally abused since childhood. Sadly, it would frequently turn physical. And sometimes it’s not by the person you would assume, abuse comes in all shapes and sizes.”

Unlike her mother’s post which blamed Brooke’s father Hulk Hogan for all the trouble in the family, Brooke stated that she does not want to identify and blame any single person in particular.

In her post, she added,

“I will keep things as vague as possible to continue to protect people…that should have protected me. Most importantly, I have completely separate reasons for going no contact with each of my parents. No contact with my Mom has nothing to do with my Dad, and no contact with my Father has nothing to do with my Mother”

However, Linda Hogan responded back, and shared further details in a post on social media. Linda alleged that she herself was a victim of physical abuse and she added that it was her daughter who had precipitated the violence in her drunken state. She wrote,

“Seems narcissism runs deep in this family. Brooke is a narcissist just like her dad…She was so drunk she broke my collarbone and cut my lip and insisted everyone take her to the hospital because she was poisoned and she wasn’t. She was just drunk…there’s many stories like that.”

According to Linda, her ex-husband, Hulk Hogan, had used their daughter Brooke against her. In the post, Linda alleged that Hulk Hogan had used their daughter as a ‘tool’ in the media after their divorce.

Hulk Hogan’s life explored

Hulk Hogan got married to Linda in 1983. The former couple filed for a divorce in 2007, which was finalized by 2009.

According to E! News, Linda Hogan’s publicist had revealed to the news outlet that Hogan’s infidelity was the reason behind the breakup of their marriage. As per the report, Hogan allegedly had an affair with his daughter, Brooke Hogan’s friend.

Hulk Hogan released a memoir in 2009, around the time his more-than-two-decade old marriage was breaking apart. In the memoir titled, My life Outside The Ring, Hogan claimed that the story about his alleged infidelity was untrue and he wrote that he had never been unfaithful in his marriage to Linda.

In 2010, after his divorce from his first wife, Hogan found love again. Hogan married make-up artist Jennifer McDaniel in a waterfront ceremony in December 2010 as per a report by People Magazine. Hogan and McDaniel remained married for more than a decade.

In 2021, amid speculations surrounding Hogan being reportedly spotted with other women, the wrestler revealed in a social media post that he and McDaniel were not together anymore.

As per Page Six, the couple had filed for divorce in 2021, which was finalized by the end of that year.

Hulk Hogan married for a third time in 2023 as per People Magazine. Hogan’s third wife, Sky Daily, is a yoga instructor. The couple got married in an intimate ceremony which took place in Florida. At the time of the wedding, Hogan was 75 and Daily was in her mid forties.

Brooke Hogan, however, was not spotted at her father’s third wedding ceremony, prompting intense media speculation.

The Hogan family had become an essential media staple ever since the family members appeared in the reality TV show, Hogan Knows Best. The show, based on the personal lives of Hulk Hogan’s family members, ran for 4 seasons.

Amidst all the media speculation taking place around Brooke’s absence at Hogan’s wedding ceremony, she decided to directly address the issue, as per Page Six. Brooke, taking to social media, shared that she had decided to distance herself from her family.

Noting that her family was going through a lot of changes in the past few years, Brooke reasoned that in order to attain happiness and healing, she had decided to focus on people who align with her goals and values, and thereby had decided to distance herself from her family. In the post, Brooke added,

“With that being said, my family has experienced a LOT of change. With all of it happening in the public eye, I’ve had to learn how to best navigate those changes as they come, which has been difficult to say the least…For my own journey to healing and happiness, I have chosen to create some distance between myself and my family, and am focusing on people and things that heal my heart and align with my own personal beliefs, goals, and values”
