Taylor Swift and Ashley Avignone have been friends for nearly two decades. Recently, the pop superstar was seen attending Avignone's birthday party in New York City. The event was held at the exclusive members club Chez Margaux where Swift was earlier spotted accompanied by her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
The celebration included a sprinkle-covered birthday cake with the words, “Ash is 25 (again)” written on it with a cozy backdrop of animal-print decor. In the pictures shared by Avignone on her Instagram page, she can be seen hugging Swift and blowing out the candles.
Ashley Avignone and Taylor Swift were first introduced through a mutual friend, actress Emma Stone. Avignone, a fashion stylist has been best friends with Stone since childhood. Per US Magazine, Avignone met Swift in 2008, leading to the start of their friendship.
Avignone has stood beside Swift during some of the singer’s most memorable moments. She also appeared in the music video for “22” along with other close friends and was a constant at Swift’s infamous Fourth of July parties.
Commemorating Swift’s 30th birthday in 2019, Ashley Avignone wrote:
“30 years of life for you, 11 years of friendship for us. Thanks for being the bestest friend, listener, dance party-starter, story teller, haircut enthusiast, with the biggest, warmest, and most generous heart."
Avignone is one of Taylor Swift's tight group of friends. She is also seemingly close to many other celebrities and often shares photos with them on her Instagram.
Ashley Avignone's career as a celebrity stylist
Ashley Avignone established herself in the fashion industry long before she met Swift. As a Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) graduate in Los Angeles, she started her career assisting top celebrity stylists.
Avignone has loved fashion since she was 4 years old when she began sketching and designing her own clothes, she said in a 2019 interview with Neely and Chloe. But after graduating from college, she said, she found herself feeling burnt out by fashion design.
However, per US Magazine, her big breakthrough arrived when she appeared on season 3 of The Rachel Zoe Project in 2010, a reality television series documenting celebrity stylists.
By 2012, Avignone had gone independent, signing with The Wall Group and collaborating with major fashion houses and campaigns. Now, she is working on creative collaborations and interior design through her company, Avignone Studio.
