Pierce Brosnan was seen on the red carpet of the New York City premiere of MobLand with his wife, Keely Shaye Smith, in tow on March 31.
Keely Shaye Smith met the James Bond actor in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on April 8, 1994, as per Brosnan’s Instagram post celebrating the 28th anniversary of the couple’s meeting in 2022. As per People Magazine, the journalist, who was the entertainment correspondent for Entertainment Tonight at the time, was at a party in Mexico to interview Ted Danson, where she met Brosnan.

Keely gave birth to the couple’s first child, Dylan, in 1997 and their second son, Paris, in 2001, as per US Weekly.
The couple, who very much appear to still be in love, tied the knot in 2001. According to Hello Magazine, Brosnan’s wedding to Keely was postponed thrice because of tragic incidents. In 1999, when the couple was first slated to tie the knot, Keely and Dylan got trapped in their home in California because of floods. In a 2023 conversation with Fox News Digital, Pierce Brosnan appreciated his wife, saying,
“Keeley is a journalist, a reporter. She's an artist in her own right. And as a woman, she has made a family for our sons.”
Keely Shaye Smith's career explored
Keely Shaye Smith has played diverse roles in her professional life. Smith was a model who also featured in Woody Allen’s film Another Woman and had a stint on General Hospital as Valerie Freeman, as per The Toronto Star.
Smith also worked as a correspondent for Good Morning America. According to IMDB, Brosnan has also hosted Great Bears, an Outdoor Life Network series.
In 1997, Smith appeared on the cover of Redbook Magazine, alongside Pierce Brosnan and their son, Dylan, who was being fed by Keely. In a throwback post on Instagram in 2024, Keely Shane Brosnan reminisced about how the photo wound up on the cover of the magazine, writing,
“Baby Dylan became fussy and I decided to stop the shoot and feed him. Greg, a dear friend, suggested he take the last three shots of (real) film on the roll so I would have this beautiful memory. He turned the film in and a couple months later I awoke in the midst of a controversy across the morning airwaves as some folks were genuinely offended by this photograph.”

Later on, Smith began exploring her love for gardening as well as environmental issues. As per the Chicago Tribune, Smith was a creator for Home Green Home and featured as a gardening expert for the talk show Mike & Maty. As per the same report, Smith also worked as a producer for a television film, Carla, which explored the fatal consequences of chemical leaks as a result of oil drilling.
Smith expanded her work for the environment while simultaneously adding another feather to her cap. In 2016, she produced and directed a documentary film, Poisoning Paradise, which explores how Native Hawaiians and their land are falling prey to pesticides and genetically engineered seeds testing.
