This season, our record isn't the best, and obviously that's not fun. But playing on the court with Hanna and being able to just leave our careers at the University of Miami together is something I wanted to do.

In March, Cavinder shared via her Instagram that "it is time to say goodbye" to basketball.

Haley reportedly started playing basketball before preschool, and until sixth grade, she used to compete in boys leagues and then started competing with girls older than her. She began her college career playing for Fresno State and then transferred to the University of Miami in 2021.

After the 2022-23 Season ended, the twins announced the end of their college basketball careers, but Haley returned to basketball with TCU. In 2024, the twins returned to Miami for the 2024-25 season.

According to reports, Haley and her twin sister Hanna were both leading faces of the Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) movement and have signed deals with many companies like Boost Mobile, Dick's Sporting Goods, WWE, etc. The NCAA approved NIL in July 2021, which allowed college athletes to monetize their individual name, image, and likeness.

Haley and Hanna reportedly have their app named TWOgether that promotes health and fitness. Hanna Cavinder is also a basketball player for the Miami Hurricanes.
