Elon Musk’s four-year-old son, X Æ A-Xii, appears to have stolen the thunder at the Oval Office where the Tesla CEO signed the executive order. The White House’s X account posted a video of them alongside President Donald Trump with the caption:

“President Trump, @ElonMusk, and little X in the Oval Office.”

Lil X is from his relationship with Canadian musician Grimes. He was born in 2020. The tech billionaire reacted with an emoji after someone on the social media platform shared a comparison photo featuring Trump, his son X, John Kennedy Jr., and former President John F. Kennedy.

According to Today, Elon Musk and Grimes originally named their son X Æ A-12 but had to modify it to X Æ A-Xii to comply with California's birth certificate rules. Musk later explained on a podcast that the name is pronounced "X Ash A Twelve" and that Grimes mostly came up with it, with his contribution being the "A-12" part.

As per reports, Elon Musk advised federal agencies to work with the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to reduce staff and limit new hires.

As the head of DOGE, he outlined the department’s goals and reassured everyone that his business ties with the government would not affect his role in leading the initiative. When a journalist asked about the conflicts of interest, Elon Musk said:

“Well, we actually are trying to be as transparent as possible. In fact, our actions repost our actions to the DOGE handle on X and to the DOGE website. So, all of our actions, we are maximally transparent, in fact, I don’t think there has been, I don’t know of a case where an organisation has been more transparent than DOGE organisation.”

Elon Musk’s son X once intervened in an interview

An interview with Tucker Carlson in 2024 took an unexpected turn when Lil X joined in, adding charm to the discussion. His unfiltered responses and curiosity made for memorable moments, including a playful exchange where Carlson asked if they should help former President Trump, to which Lil X enthusiastically agreed, amusing both Carlson and Musk.

Elon Musk’s son accompanied him to Trump’s presidential campaign rally in Washington. After the President left the stage and Musk took the stand, he said:

“Thank you, Mr. President. Sorry Little X just followed me on stage here. He is very enthusiastic supporter as you can see.”

In 2023, he took his son to meet Tayyip Erdogan in New York and the Turkey President attempted to play with him. As they sat for an interview with the reporters, a person enquired about his wife, to which the Elon Musk replied:

“She is in San Franciso. We are separated. I take care of him mostly.”

In 2021, X made an appearance with Elon Musk during a SpaceX video. After greeting everyone, he waved his arms in joy. Although someone came in to take him away, he appeared unwilling to leave his father during his work. As per reports, although separated, Grimes and Musk take their turns in parenting their child.
