According to People magazine, recently, Michael Caine, who worked with Beyoncé in the 2022 Austin Powers movie (Caine played the role of Nigel Powers, the father of super spy Austin), shared in his new book, Don’t Look Back, You’ll Trip Over: My Guide to Life, about working with Beyoncé.

"Only nineteen at the time, I think, and a very nice person...You could already tell how focused she was and how big a star she was going to be. I remember the first day on set, I asked her what her ambition was, and she said, ‘I want to win an Academy Award for a movie.’ Not a trace of arrogance, just clarity...

Beyoncé's acting ventures and break from movies

Beyoncé reportedly made her acting debut on TV with MTV’s Carmen: A Hip Hopera, whereas her silver screen debut was with the 2002 movie Austin Powers in Goldmember. She was praised for her performance as Etta James in the 2008 movie Cadillac Records, which earned her multiple nominations. She also received a Golden Globe and Critics Award nomination for her performance in the 2007 movie Dreamgirls.

According to reports, her mother, Tina Knowles, in a recent Instagram post of a reposted video of Beyoncé's performance on Cadillac Records, subtly shared that Beyoncé decided to take a break from acting in movies. She wrote,

"just came across this in my feed . I Listened to it several times . This is still one of my favorite movies and it makes me miss the fact that my child decided not to continue with movies. She killed it in this movie.❤️ and she so unselfishly donated her salary to the Phoenix house❤️"
