After their relationship ended, D’Angelo and Angie Stone moved on to date other people, but they continued co-parenting their son, Michael D'Angelo Archer II. On being friends after parting ways, the Black Diamond singer told Essence,
“D’angelo and I are parents first. For the sake of my son, I would never disrespect his father. I am an understanding sister and it’s a love-hate relationship and I hope people don’t misunderstand my statement.”
She also added,
“There are times that we are silent and there are times that we laugh. He’ll [D'Angelo] always have a special place in my heart.”
After her breakup with the singer, Angie Stone dated her manager, Ashanti Graves.
