Cardi B revealed she resorted to retail therapy worth over $2 million following her divorce from the father of her three children, Offset. On Wednesday night, she took to X Spaces, where she revealed that she cops about $1.5 million for concerts in the US alone. She said:

"In October alone, I spent about $2 million just on my gifts I bought for myself. Because you know what? I’m divorced, I’m single and shopping makes me feel good.”

Per Celebrity Net Worth, Cardi B has a net worth of a whopping $80 million, $50 million of which can be attributed to rights over her music catalog. Her career saw new heights in 2017 with the success of her single Bodak Yellow, which got certified diamond.

As of 2024, she is the only female rapper to ever garner several RIAA diamond-certified songs.


Cardi B pledges to drop new music next year, says she loves, breathes, and smells money

The topic first came up when fans asked the WAP singer about the release of her sophomore album. She revealed that while she hasn't dropped an album since 2018, she's fine when it comes to the money:

"I get paid $1.5 million to do shows in America, depending on the venue. Because If the venue is big, I gotta get $2 million. If I’m going out of the state, I’m getting [$2.5 million]. I pay my nanny for my baby $700 a day. Every single time I step out just hair and makeup is about $4,000, $5,000, depending on the length of the f*cking hair. My outfits don’t even be less than f*cking $8,000. Just so I can step out of the house, let’s make that clear.”

She then revealed that the $2 million she spent included $295,000 on jewelry from Elliot Eliantte, a popular designer, alone. Circling back to her forthcoming project, she vowed to drop it next year:

"It’s gonna come and everything is gonna make sense,” she added. “I know I say that all the time, but I swear that on everything. I have no choice but to put it the f*** out.”

During the segment, she also proclaimed that money is a driving force for her as she said,

"I'm an expensive b*tch, I love money, I breathe money, I smell money, I need money because I got a lot of bills to pay."

Cardi B also pledged to hit the "reset button" as she promised that she will be "whipping everybody’s a** in 2025.
