Dolly Parton’s brother, David Wilburn Parton, died at his White Pine, Tennessee home on November 15, 2024. David Parton was Dolly’s older brother and one of the 12 siblings. There were a total of six boys and six girls.
Parton’s younger sister, Stella Parton, took to her Facebook to announce the news. She said that her brother passed away early in the morning, and it is not easy to lose a beloved person.
In a separate Facebook post, she wrote:
“Thank you for all your kind thoughts to my family as we continue to grieve the loss of our much loved and cherished oldest brother David.”
According to the Obituary, David Parton’s funeral will be held at 7 pm on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Leadvale Baptist Church.
