How Many Siblings Does Zendaya Have? All About Her Family as Half-Sister Latonja Coleman Alleges Family Rift

The Dune actress, Zendaya has never allowed the public any access to her personal life, but, a recent revelation from her half-sister, Latonja Coleman, has brought new attention to the dynamics of the actress' family.

Latonja Coleman has spoken about an alleged family rift, questioning her place in the actress' life and whether she will be invited to the actress' rumored wedding to Tom Holland.

Zendaya's family and siblings

Zendaya, born Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman, is the only child of her parents, Claire Stoermer and Kazembe Ajamu Coleman. However, she has five older half-siblings from her father's previous relationship:

  • Julien "EZ" Coleman- The eldest brother, married and has three children.
  • Austin Coleman- Another older brother who maintains a private life.
  • Katianna "Kizzi" Coleman- An older sister with three children; Zendaya has often expressed admiration for her.
  • Annabella Coleman- Another sister who stays out of the public eye.
  • Kaylee Coleman- The youngest among the actress' siblings, also maintaining a private life.

Latonja Coleman, who Kazembe had from his first relationship, has now claimed that she and The Dune actress are estranged, expressing her disappointment over their strained relationship.

"I don't even tell people anymore that she's my sister. I'm ashamed of my dad and how he raised us."

Latonja Coleman Speaks Out

Latonja Coleman, 51, in the latest interview with The US Sun, claimed that she has had very little interaction with the actress since Thanksgiving, 2018. They met again in January 2025, for their Grandmother's funeral, where, Latonja said that her interaction with the actress was cold.

"When I tried to talk to her, she gave me a one-arm hug. It felt like I was just a fan."

She also expressed disappointment about not being supported by her family during her battle with cancer.

"I went through chemotherapy all by myself with no help. I just want to know why Zendaya wasn't there for me."

Despite being distanced from her half-sister, Latonja spoke positively about the actress' fiancé, Tom Holland, saying she met him during Thanksgiving in 2018 and found him to be "really, really cool," and "down-to-earth". She also pointed out that her family seems to like him. However, she finds them an "odd couple," because of their major height difference.

Will Latonja be invited to the wedding?

Latonja also admitted that she is unsure whether she'll be invited to Zendaya and Tom's rumored wedding.

"I want to be in her life, to show her that I lover her and support her."

However, she made it clear, that she doesn't want any financial help, emphasizing that she simply wants a relationship with her younger sister.

Even though Zendaya hasn't publicly responded to Latonja's claims, or the nature of their family dynamic, the revelation has sparked curiosity among her fans, making them raise questions about the actress's close-knit family image.

As the actress continues to build her career, her family relationships remain a topic of interest. Whether she will respond to Latonja's pleas for connection or just let them slide, remains to be seen.
