Beyonce is undoubtedly one of the most prestigious singers in the world, also among the most awarded. She has the highest number of Grammys, with 35 wins to her name, besides the most nominations (99). She is also the most-feted artist at the NAACP Image Awards, with 27 wins in all.
For the unversed, NAACP Image Awards are presented by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People every year. The award ceremony aims to honor the performances of people of color from different walks of life. The award ceremony has over 40 categories that cover film, theatre, music, television, and literature.
The 56th NAACP Image Awards were held on Wednesday and the night became a lucky one for the Carter family. Besides the If I Were A Boy singer, her daughter Blue Ivy was also among the leading winners of the night.

Beyonce won in two categories — Outstanding Album of the Year and Outstanding Female Artist — during night two of the pre-awards show on Wednesday. Like Grammys, the 43-year-old won one award for her latest album, Cowboy Carter. Blue Ivy took home an NAACP trophy in the Outstanding Character Voice-Over category for the movie, Mufasa: The Lion King.
Blue Ivy voiced Princess Kiara in the 2024 movie, Mufasa: The Lion King. Her mother reprised her voice-over role as Queen Nala, Kiara's mother, from the 2019 movie The Lion King. Singer Donald Glover voiced King Simba.
The NAACP Image Awards came after Beyonce's big win at the Grammy Awards 2025. She won Best Country Album and Album of the Year for Cowboy Carter. She also shared an award with Miley Cyrus for Best Country Duo/Group Performance, for II Most Wanted.
Besides the mother-daughter duo, many others were nominated at the NAACP Image Awards across various categories. The Outstanding International Motion Picture award went to Emilia Pérez. Malcolm Washington, The Piano Lesson director, won in the Outstanding Breakthrough Creative (Motion Picture) category. The Outstanding New Artist award went to Doechii, while Chris Brown won in the Outstanding Male Artist category. Tyler Perry's The Six Triple Eight won the trophy for Outstanding Ensemble Cast in a Motion Picture category.
What happened to Beyonce at NAACP Image Awards 2021?
Beyonce's winning streak at the NAACP awards started in 2021, according to Billboard. That year, she won in four of the most prestigious music categories. The categories were: Outstanding Female Artist (for Black Parade), Outstanding Music Video (for Brown Skin Girl), Outstanding Hip Hop/Rap Song (with Megan Thee Stallion, for Savage Remix), and Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration (Contemporary) for Savage Remix.
With Queen Bey's haul of four awards, the awards night became extra special, as she broke the record by becoming the most-awarded winner in history. The addition of four more trophies brought her NAACP Image Awards tally to 22. The ceremony has surely been an extraordinary one for the singer.

However, the next few years did not bring her many trophies. In 2022, she was nominated in two categories but did not take home an award for either of them. In 2023, she won in three categories: Outstanding Female Artist, Outstanding Album for Renaissance, and Outstanding Soul/R&B Song for Cuff It.
Last year, the singer was not nominated under any category.
