Armie Hammer has two kids, daughter Harper, 9, and son Ford, 7, with his ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers. On November 11's episode of The Armie HammerTime Podcast, actor Armie Hammer, who was joined by his mother Dru, reveals that she got him a vasectomy for his 38th birthday.
Dru said:
"I call Armie, and I go, 'Armie, what would you like for your birthday this year?' And he goes, 'I don't know, maybe money. Whatever.' And I was like, 'I believe I'm going to give you a vasectomy."
The actor opened up about going to the doctor's and undergoing the procedure:
"He (doctor) was like, 'Are you sure you wanna do this?' I'm like, 'I have two beautiful kids. I don't want any more kids. I'm good to go.'
When the receptionist asked Hammer to pay for the procedure, he responded that his mother would be calling and paying for it.
"She (receptionist) was looking down and she (looked up) and goes, 'What?' And I go, 'Yes, my mother gave me this as a birthday present. It just was one of those things like you could tell she was hearing something and like, 'I've never heard - what are you talking about?' So yeah, my mother got me a vasectomy for my birthday."
More about Armie Hammer's relationship with his mother, Dru Hammer
During his recent podcast appearance with his mother, Dru Hammer, actor Armie Hammer also discussed why he had a fallout with her and blamed her obsession with religion for it.
The actor said he has "very clear boundaries" and does not want his mother to talk about God "all the time." The actor revealed that the two had a period in their life where they didn't speak to each other since he didn't "need a pastor" but needed a mom.
Hammer revealed that he is spiritual, has a process, and doesn't need his mother to bring him "half a dozen bibles." The actor added that her mother's way of diverting conversations to God and allegedly preaching causes a "division" in their relationship since he felt that she makes everything "an opportunity for you to talk about Christ."
In response to Armie's arguments, Dru said she was trying to explain what she does and her perspective and called herself an Evangelist. Evangelists are people who seek to convert people to the Christian faith by preaching.
