Popular country music singer Luke Combs, 35, is a proud father of two kids. As his children are growing up, he sees himself raising them in a particular way. Recently, he expressed how he wants them to feel in the upcoming years.

In a conversation on The MeatEater Podcast, the star delved into wishing a "normal" childhood for his children, especially considering "the very strange circumstances."

He shared,

"I want my kids’ childhoods to feel as normal as they can given the very strange circumstances that it will ultimately become."

With name, fame, and fan following comes a constant desire among admirers to know about celebrities' lives. Amid all these, Luke Combs feels keeping his children away from the spotlight is the right decision.

Here's what Luke Combs shared about giving his kids a normal childhood

On The MeatEater Podcast, the musician went through some plans to provide a normal upbringing to his two sons. Currently, they reside in a two-bedroom stay. He shared,

"We live in a 2,000-square-foot house. It’s two bedrooms. Me and my wife have a room, and the boys share a room. We’re always close together, we’re always tight in there."

The Forever After All singer also talked about teaching the younger ones how to pick up their things "to the extent" of their age.

"The living room is the playroom. All the kids’ toys are in there. We let them destroy it. But every night, 'Alright, we’re all cleaning up now.' Mom and dad are cleaning up, but to the extent that a one-and-a-half-year-old [can], he’ll get a block and bring it over. He might only pick up two things, but my two-and-a-half-year-old now, he can actually make a 5 percent dent in the cleanup. But he understands."

Luke Combs and Nicole Hocking began to date in 2016, according to Wikipedia. The couple celebrated their engagement in 2018 and tied the knot on August 1, 2020.

Their family grew after almost two years as they welcomed their first son, Tex Lawrence Combs. Hocking gave birth to her and Combs' second son, Beau Lee Combs, on August 15, 2023.

Last year, the singer chatted with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 and spoke about having the "craziest day", the day when his second kid was born.

"I'll never forget the craziest day, probably, in my life, close to it. One of the best and one of the worst days in my life at the same time was, interestingly enough, and it's so hard to wrap my mind around it."

Revealing how and why he missed his son's birth, Luke Combs continued,

"So it's August 16th. I wake up in the morning, I'm in Sydney, Australia, in a hotel room, and we're on tour in Australia. I probably woke up at around 8:00 a.m. or something like that, Australia time, and I had a text from my wife and it said, 'I'm so sorry, I really tried to not have the baby while you're gone.' And God, dude, it s**ked."

The Fast Car started crying while recalling how he missed out on that special day, according to a People Magazine report. He also added later,

"It s**ked because he was born on August 15th in the States. I got to see him be born, which was awesome. He wasn't born yet, but my wife went, she texted me on the way to the hospital, and he was two and a half weeks early and I was supposed to be home and I wasn't. That was real hard to do and I haven't really told anybody that.

Luke Combs also remarked that he did not cover "too much in this album" as it was difficult for him "to deal with."
