Boosie Badazz has welcomed his ninth child, his first with fiancée Rajel Nelson.

The Baton Rouge native, legally known as Torrence Ivy Hatch Jr, took to Instagram to announce the news of his daughter's birth this week, noting that he's "so happy to be a dad again" and it's "the best feeling in the world."

Boosie Badazz fathers nine children: Ivy Ray, Lyric Beyonce, Toriana, Iviona, Michael Jordan, Tarlaysia, Torrance, Laira, and his latest, Sevyn. The rapper also shares strained relationships with many of their mothers. As for him and Nelson, he proposed to her back in November 2023, and a year later, he revealed that he would be welcoming "girl number 9" soon with her.

“It’s a girl number 9 on the way," he penned at the time on Instagram, while Nelson added, “Happy Happiest Birthday Papa ! I love you too the moon and back . The mf GOAT ! 6 years down plenty more to GO ! Cheers to more Life , More Everything and many many more Blessings.”

Boosie Badazz's relationship with his kids explored:

Boosie Badazz and Rachel Nelson held a baby shower in honor of their newest child weeks ahead of her birth, on April 5. At the time, the rapper gifted his wife-to-be with a luxury BMW for her push present at the "Showering Sevyn" event. He later took to Instagram to share the moment with his fans.

Several of Boosie Badazz's kids were also present at the baby shower, including Iviona Hatch, known as Poison Ivi. However, the pair have long shared a strained relationship.

As reported by Hip Hop DX, back in November 2024, Iviona called out her father for hypocrisy over his apprehensions towards her s*xual orientation. Speaking on The Danza Project, she said:

“He tells y’all he don’t want my girlfriend around but he don’t tell y’all that she be around. And when she around, he ain’t never gonna come at me and say, ‘Go take her home.’ He never once said that,” she said. “Another thing is: if he would have came to me and said, ‘I love you, I respect you, but I just don’t want you to bring your girlfriend to my house,’ I would have respected him. But [he] ain’t never say nothing." She went on, “I ain’t know there was a problem ’til he went on Caresha Please."

Poison Ivi was referencing comments her dad made Yung Miami‘s Caresha Please show, where he revealed that he stopped her from bringing her girlfriend over out of fear that it would “contaminate” his other children.

“She still can’t bring her situation to our house […] because I don’t want it to contaminate her other six, seven sisters who look up to her,” he said. “I want them to bring up these grandchildren the right way. If I want grandchildren the right way, that’s what I’ma stand on. If I don’t want my other lil’ girl to look at that and say, ‘What’s that, daddy?’ To somebody she looks up to? It’s not gonna come around my [house].” He added: “My grandfather didn’t let it, my daddy didn’t let it and I didn’t let it. I just hope the one under me, when they this grown, they not gon’ let it ’cause that’s not what our family believes in.”

At the time of writing, it remains unclear just when Rachel Nelson and Boosie Badazz will tie the knot, though it's likely they'll focus on parenthood first.
