The demise of the Fast and Furious star, Paul Walker, in 2013, had left a scar on not only his friends and family but also his fans. More than a decade after the actor's death, Cody Walker, Paul's younger brother, expresses his grief and shares that he feels guilty after his brother's death. Paul has two younger brothers named Cody Walker and Caleb Walker.

In an interview with E-News, Cody expressed that as he is reaching the age of 40, he thinks about it every day that Paul should have had all of this. He also shared that 40 was quite a young age to die and that Paul passed away soon.

“Every single year I get closer to 40, it just bums me out. It's weird to say that I'm 36, I'm going to be 37. And I feel like every year beyond 40 is going to be like, ‘He should have had this. Here's another year Paul should have had.’”

Cody also learnt to navigate his grief. He has said that now he is thankful for all the good people in his life and offers them gratitude. He said

“It has taught me to be grateful for every day that you have and to tell the people you love that you love them. I tell my kids that every day, I tell my wife that every day. Every time I talk to my parents, that's how we end our conversations.”

In Paul's honor, Cody organizes the FuelFest, which combines car shows and music. All the money from the event goes to Reach Out Worldwide, Paul's charity, which provides disaster relief to locals.

All about Paul and his brothers

Paul was the eldest of four siblings named Ashley, Caleb, and Cody. Born on September 12, 1973, Paul's mother was a former model, and his father was an amateur boxer. Paul and his siblings grew up in Los Angeles in the Sunland neighbourhood. They spent a lot of their time on Carpinteria State Beach in California by the ocean.

In an article with People Magazine, Caleb and Cody recalled the fond memories of their childhood, which they also mentioned in the 2018 documentary I Am Paul Walker

“If we were going on vacation or for spring break or whatever, we knew where we were going. We were going to Carpinteria State Beach, which was just south of Santa Barbara,we’d get a campsite and tents for the kids. Every night, we were roasting marshmallows and s'mores and doing the whole campfire thing.”

Cody had a close relationship with Paul, who was fifteen years elder to him. He referred to him as a father figure who was always there to guide him and look after him. He took to Instagram and paid tribute to his brother through a heart-warming post in 2016.

In 2013, weeks before Paul's demise, his younger brother Caleb married Stephanie Branch in Orange County, California, with Paul standing by his side as his best man. The photographs of the wedding published by Daily Mail were amongst the last family photographs.

Paul's demise took place in between the shooting of Fast and Furious 7. The production was put on hold for four months, with the filmmakers mourning the loss of the actor and wondering about finding Paul's replacement. Caleb and Cody were eventually selected to cast as Paul's body doubles for the remaining part of the movie.

Cody decided to launch his own career in acting and took on Paul's charity work. Cody and his wife used to run a home renovation show. Both the brothers have named their children after Paul.
