Rappers Cardi B and Pardison Fontaine released their recent collaborative work Toot It Up on February 7, 2025. This marks the second time the two singers collaborated to release music. In 2018, they released Backin’ It Up which hit the Billboard in number 40.

However, the recent launch was not far away from criticism owing to Fontaine’s previous relationship with Megan Thee Stallion. Social media users, especially fans of Stallion, backlashed Cardi B for collaborating with him.

However, the Please Me singer has addressed the comments on X Spaces saying her friendship was intact with both of them and that she did not want to be a part of any confusion. In a viral clip posted by X account Big Tooley, Cardi B was seen addressing the criticism as she said:

“Leave me alone with that whole Pardison sh*t cause at the end of the day, I have been knowing Pardison since 2012.”

She continued:

“And that’s why like I said when people be in relationships, I be out the way and mind my business because God forbids something happened, I am letting both of them know right now, I am not gonna stop talking to both for them. Our f*cks with both for ya’ll.”

Cardi B added:

“You don’t talk sh*t to me about him. You don’t talk sh*t to me about her. That’s how I always give it up because at the end, they are f*cked with both. Yeah, and I love both of y’all. That is what it is. So, stop with the bullsh*t, stop with the sh*t. Y’all being ridiculous.”

Pardison and Megan Thee Stallion dated for almost two years. They made their relationship public in 2021 but parted ways in 2023.

Cardi B said she was neutral in the relationship drama between Pardison Fontaine and Megan Thee Stallion

While addressing the comments, Cardi B clarified that when she cares about two people, she avoids getting involved in their issues. She explained that relationships often have drama, and she prefers to stay neutral rather than take sides.

Cardi B emphasized that both individuals involved know this about her and that she wants no part in their conflicts. Frustrated by the backlash, she asked people to stop harassing her and calling her names, insisting that she was not the kind of person they were making her out to be.

Megan and Pardison’s relationship seemed fine for two years, but in the spring of 2023, Megan was spotted with soccer star Romelu Lukaku, sparking rumors of a new relationship. Later that fall, as she promoted her song Cobra, she confirmed their breakup. In the song, she hinted at being cheated on in her own home, though she didn’t mention anyone by name.

Regarding the release of Toot It Up, Pardison responded to fans repeatedly asking for the song. He told them they could finally have it, encouraging them to play it and enjoy it, but to stop asking him about it. He also shared in the caption that it had been sitting on his hard drive for eight years and announced its release date as February 7, 2025.
