Film producer Harvey Weinstein reacted to actor Adrien Brody’s mention of his ex-wife Georgina Chapman and kids in Brody’s Oscar acceptance speech. Brody was awarded the Oscar in the Best Actor category for the 2024 drama The Brutalist.
Harvey Weinstein and Georgina Chapman were married for almost ten years, and their divorce was finalized in 2021. She has reportedly been in a relationship with Adrien Brody since 2020. In his acceptance speech, Brody thanked God for his "blessed life." Thanking the important people in his life for their contributions, he said:
“I share this with my amazing partner Georgina who has not only reinvigorated my own self-worth but my sense of value and my values and her beautiful children Dash and India. I know this is a, it’s been a rollercoaster but thank you accepting me into your life and Popsy’s coming home a winner.”
Harvey Weinstein seemingly responded to Adrien Brody’s statement through his representative, according to a statement made to US Weekly on March 3, 2025. The representative, Juda Engelmayer, said:
“Harvey is happy for Georgina and grateful that his kids are being loved and cared for as they deserve to be.”
According to the media outlet, Harvey Weinstein and Georgina Chapman have two children, India, 14, and Dashiell, 11.
Georgina Chapman filed for divorce following Weinstein's 2017 s*xual assault allegations. Although they reached a settlement in 2018, the divorce was officially finalized in 2021. In 2020, Weinstein was convicted of r*pe and s*xual assault, receiving a 23-year prison sentence.

In his Oscar acceptance speech, Adrien Brody expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and kindness. He acknowledged that while acting may seem glamorous, it is also unpredictable.
Returning to the Oscars gave him perspective on how fleeting success can be, making him even more appreciative of the opportunity to continue doing what he loves. He also said:
“I am here once again to represent the lingering traumas and the repercussions of war and systematic oppression and of antisemitism and racism and of othering and I believe that, I pray for a healthier and happier and a more inclusive world and I believe if the past can teach us anything, it’s a reminder to not let hate go unchecked.”
Adrien Brody reflected on how winning such an award represents both an achievement and a new beginning. He hoped to spend the next two decades proving himself worthy of meaningful roles.
He also shared the honor with his fellow nominees, praising their talent and character, and thanked his team and friends at CAA for their support.
