Brian Austin Green, 51, and Tiffani Thiessen, 51, were one of Hollywood's beloved couples decades back, before they broke up. From being a loving couple IRL to co-stars featuring in the renowned Beverly Hills, 90210, fans loved seeing them together.
Green and Thiessen were in a relationship for around three years. They were together from 1992 to 1995. According to Wikipedia, their mutual friend, David Faustino, introduced them long before she started shooting for the iconic teen drama.
In a recent episode of the Oldish podcast, Brian Austin Green recalled his experience of sharing the screen with his ex-girlfriend and termed it as "an invasion" of his space because the set was his home, and he considered his co-stars as his family.
Brian Austin Green expressed his thoughts on dating Tiffani Thiessen and shooting with her for Beverly Hills, 90210
Brian Austin Green was one of the original cast members who were a part of the show from the beginning. He was seen playing the role of David Silver. On the other hand, Tiffani Thiessen was cast to join the lead team of actors in the fifth season. Her character's name was Valerie Malone.
In a recent conversation, the Unwed Father actor reflected on the days when he started dating his ex-girlfriend and later focused on the challenges of acting with his former romantic interest.
He admitted having a crush on Thiessen even before the series, according to a report by Us Magazine.
"I had a crush on her before 90210 because we used to do all these teen magazines or whatever. I was like, 'Oh, I don’t stand a chance. I’m reaching way above my weight class on this one.'"
Brian's reaction to knowing that her crush also had an interest in him was amazing. He shared,
"I was like, 'This is the coolest thing ever,' because I’d never dated anyone before I’d never put myself out there as I did with her."

Tiffani was working on Saved By The Bell when she started seeing Green. By the time their bond grew, she was cast for Beverly Hills, 90210.
Brian Austin Green remembered the times when the teen drama's runners asked him,
"How would you feel about her coming on the show?"
He considered it a good idea as he thought Tiffani was chosen to appear for a couple of episodes. He had no clue that the actress would have such an impactful role in the series.
"I had no idea she was going to replace Shannen [Doherty] at that point and her story line is going to be this [big] … and it was just the hardest thing in the world."
Instead of being just a set, the cast was more like a family for the actor. He remarked on the podcast,
"This was more of a complete family, and I was there all day long every single day so all of a sudden she comes in and she’s working with people, not with me. She has a dressing [room] in the same hallway, but we have different call times, and we have different things going on."
Soon, Green started facing difficulties shooting with Tiffani, and also confessed how her joining the show full-time was a "downfall" and ruined their romantic relationship.
Bringing those days to mind, he commented,
"It was just an invasion in my space and what had become so dear to me as a kid not having that big family feeling? It was that. That show was so crazy, and nobody understood it like the other people on the show. Nobody would get it. So it was a really special bond.”
Brian Austin Green confessed that he was "so incredibly jealous of story lines." Calling himself immature and "a wreck", he further chimed in,
"Every time I’d get a new script, I was like, 'Oh, her character starts with Luke and now she’s with Ian.' She literally dated every guy on the show."
Sadly, Brian and Tiffani broke up by the time their on-screen characters began dating fictionally.
Tiffani Thiessen replied to Brian Austin Green's reactions on her shooting s** scenes
In an episode of Shannen Doherty’s Let’s Be Clear podcast, Brian Austin Green disclosed feeling jealous of Tiffani's s** scenes with her Beverly Hills, 90210 co-stars. He commented,
"I’d never been in a real serious relationship before. I was incredibly jealous every time she would f**king have to work with anybody else because we’d already been doing the show for four years. Like, this is my family."
He also added,
"I used to bring Tiffani to events so she knew everybody from then and then all of a sudden she’s doing s** scenes and s**t with people that were like my family and my brothers. It was strange. I remember I was really just f**king jealous and boisterous."
In 2024, Thiessen responded to Brian's comments of feeling jealous of her s** scenes with her Beverly Hills, 90210 co-stars in a conversation with Us Weekly.
"I had a boyfriend who definitely was probably not the most secure with me being there. I also had my own insecurities about being on a job that, again, was very established. There were relationships that were super close that I wasn’t a part of. It was definitely stressful and hard."
She later clarified that they were "young and stupid" and she does not "hold any grudges."
