LeAnn Rimes, who met husband Eddie Cibrian in 2008 while shooting their movie, "Northern Lights," paid a sweet tribute to their fourteen-year marriage, along with a special tribute to her husband. On 22 April, the "How Do I Live" singer wrote:

"The heart knows when the search is over. She attributed the loving words to "Bliss. 14 years 💍 and many, many more! i’m so proud of us! i love you, always @eddiecibrian."

The couple met at a time when both of them were married to different people, and eventually they got embroiled in an affair. In a post shared last week, LeAnn Rimes posted several previously unseen pictures from their intimate 2011 wedding ceremony, which was attended by close friends and family.

More about LeAnn Rimes' relationship with Eddie Cibrian

LeAnn Rimes, who, according to Variety, was announced as one of the mentors on the twenty-seventh season of "The Voice" earlier this month, is often known to share pictures of herself and Cibrian. In June 2023, the "Good Intentions" actress posted a sweet message for her husband's 50th birthday, sharing a tribute to the "CSI: Miami" actor. She wrote:

"Happy 50th birthday, cowboy! There’s nothing better than growing older and wiser with you! i love you, beyond!!! 50’s never looked so good… damn you!"

LeAnn Rimes, who met Ciriban while on the set of their movie "Northern Lights," initially denied the rumors surrounding their alleged relationship. At that time, LeAnn Rimes was married to dancer Dean Sheremet, whom she had met at the 2001 Country Music Awards. The pair got married a year later in 2002 and were together for seven years until their separation in 2009, which ended with their divorce in June 2010.

Eddie Cibrian, on the other hand, was married to TV personality Brandi Lynn Ganville. The former couple, who married in 2001, were parents to two young sons at the time of the incident. They eventually divorced in September 2010 after rumors of Cibrian's affair with LeAnn Rimes became public.

Initially, both Cibrian and Rimes denied the affair, with the "Sunset Beach" actor releasing a statement that read:

"It is a fabricated story that is using random snapshots as connective tissue to create a scandalous relationship."

Amid this period of denial, the news of their separation from their respective partners was announced. Around the same time, the rumored couple made several public appearances together and, in 2010, went on a vacation to Mexico, according to People Magazine.

In a 2010 exclusive interview with People Magazine, LeAnn Rimes addressed her relationship with Eddie Cibrian for the first time. She said:

"I did one of the most selfish things that I possibly could do, in hurting someone else. I take responsibility for everything I've done. I hate that people got hurt, but I don't regret the outcome."

She further added:

"It was very emotionally driven. I never once thought what I was doing was okay."

In December 2010, the couple got engaged, and on 22 April 2011, they were married. Later that year, during LeAnn Rimes' appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," the country singer addressed the unconventional way her relationship with Eddie Cibrian started and how it led to their eventual marriage. She said:

"We all make choices that lead us into a different path, here and there, and you learn from those or you don't. It obviously brought us to the place where we are now. And we're happy, and we're married. I think we have both come to a really good place in our lives. And right now, I'm really at peace."

In 2012, LeAnn Rimes was diagnosed with stress and anxiety, prompting her to enter a facility for a thirty-day program. The "Take Two" actor showed his support for his partner in a statement to People Magazine, saying:

"My wife is the most remarkable and courageous woman I know ... I am so proud of her for having the strength to finally take some time for herself. I will be with her every step of the way."

In 2014, a reality TV show featuring the private lives of the couple began airing. LeAnn Rimes, who had previously said in an interview that they would never approve of a reality TV show based on their lives, said:

"People are always wanting to make it a story of me being a homewrecker and trying to take someone's kids. They take the love I have for my family and twist it around in some weird, sick way."

In 2017, the couple celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary with a heartfelt tribute post on Instagram.

Although there were initial reports of clashes between LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian's ex-wife, Brandi Glanville, the three now successfully coparent, Cibrian's two sons from his marriage with Glanville.

Rimes, who frequently shares pictures of her travels with husband Eddie Cibrian, has now been announced as one of the performers for the 2025 ACM Awards, set to take place in May.
