How did Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky meet? Spanish actress admits to rough patches in 15-year-old marriage

Extraction star Chris Hemsworth, who has been married to Elsa Pataky for over a decade, began his acting career in Australian television before eventually shifting to movies. The Melbourne-based actor became popular for his role as Kim Hyde in the TV show Home and Away. However, it was the 2011 MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) movie, Thor, that propelled him to global fame.

Hemsworth, one of the biggest stars of American mainstream cinema, has been married to his wife, Elsa, for 15 years. According to the Daily Mail, the 48-year-old Spanish model and actress, Pataky, in an interview with Hello! Magazine, revealed the secret to her 15-year marriage with Chris. Having said that, regarding their relationship, she mentioned going through some "rough patches" too.

Pataky and the 41-year-old Hemsworth, who moved to Byron Bay, Australia, from Los Angeles in 2015, share three children: twin sons, Sasha and Tristan, who are 11, and a daughter, India, who is 13. According to Harper's Bazaar, the 12 Strong actor met Elsa for the first time in early 2010. They were introduced by William Ward, who was Hemsworth's talent agent at the time.

Both of them were quick enough to fall in love and made their relationship official by September of the same year. Just a few months later, the couple got hitched in December 2010. In a 2015 interview with Elle, Hemsworth talked about his initial days with Elsa. The Avengers star said:

"There was no lightbulb moment. From the first time we met, we just made sense. She’s fun. She’s outgoing, and she has a sense of humor and a passionate attitude toward life, which is nice to try to keep up with."

In an interview with Hello Magazine, Hemsworth's wife, Elsa Pataky, opened up about the secret to their 15-year marriage and their rough patches. The Spanish model/actress, Elsa, who starred in several blockbuster movies like Fast Five, Thor: Love and Thunder, and so on, regarding their marriage, said:

"Marriage needs constant work, and you learn a lot from the rough patches. You have to try and keep growing together, making sure that your paths carry on crossing. It's about finding the fun, enjoying the little moments and remaining curious about each other. You have to be ready to adapt, and because there are situations that separate you, you need to know how to find each other again."
