How did Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson meet? What we know as former cheerleader shuts down question about first meeting

Bill Belichick’s relationship with Jordon Hudson has been a constant topic of discussion for many on social media.

Recently, the former New England Patriots coach sat to have a conversation with CBS Mornings’ Tony Dokoupil while Hudson was also in the studio, albeit off the camera. When the interviewer asked about how Bill and his girlfriend met, Jordon was quick to decline the response. She said:

“We’re not talking about this.”

TMZ first reported about Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson’s relationship in June 2024. A former teammate of ex-Bridgewater State University cheerleader Hudson told the outlet that she met the six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach Belichick on a flight in 2021. Bill and Jordon reportedly boarded from the Boston area for Florida.

According to TMZ, the ex-NFL coach and former cheerleader bonded over the latter’s “philosophy project.” According to the outlet, Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson exchanged contact information after landing. At that time, Bill was dating Linda Holliday, and his relationship with Hudson reportedly remained platonic.

The North Carolina Tar Heels coach was married to Debby Clarke for almost three decades. They share three children and parted ways in 2006, a year before Belichick started dating Linda Holliday, a TV presenter. In 2023, the reports of the couple’s split were reported, marking an end to their 16-year-old relationship.

According to TMZ, the split happened privately during the 2022 season, and Bill and Jordon’s relationship soon started. The couple seemingly started dating soon, but it wasn’t reported until June 2024. Per Page Six, Belichick was first spotted with Hudson in January 2023 in New Orleans.

Later that year, when Bill's break-up with Linda was being reported, he was again spotted with Jordon in NOLA. The following year, amidst the relationship speculations, Belichick reunited with the Patriots teammates on The Roast of Tom Brady, where his then-private relationship was the subject of a few jokes.

Rob Gronkowski, a former tight end for the New England team, poked fun at Bill Belichick, saying:

“Coach, you used to talk about Foxborough High School when we sucked. But now I know why you were so obsessed with Foxborough High School – You were scouting your new girlfriend. I mean, coach, my joke was f***ed up, but that’s f***ed up. You are 73-years-old, you should be trying to bang someone your own age.”

Tom Brady also roasted Belichick and said:

“Everybody asks me which ring was my favorite. I used to say, ‘The next one.’ But, now that I’m retired, my favorite is that Ring camera that caught Coach Belichick slinking out of that poor girl’s house at 6 am a few months ago. Hey! You still got it.”

After their relationship went public, Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson made their red carpet debut in December last year at The Museum Gala in New York City. In February, they also attended NFL Honors together.
