Autumn Crittendon, known for her role in 16 and Pregnant passed away at the age of 27 at her home in Henrico County where she was found unresponsive on July 20, 2024.
However, as per a TMZ exclusive from October 21, 2024, it was revealed that her death was caused due to drug toxicity from fentanyl and para-fluoro fentanyl, a synthetic opioid similar to fentanyl.
The cause of her death was made known by the Virginia Department of Health which listed it as ‘accidental.’ Autumn Crittendon stayed with her children, mother, and stepfather.
When paramedics were called, they tried to resuscitate her but their attempt nevertheless failed.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers and fire personnel found an unresponsive adult female inside the residence, according to a statement from the Henrico County Police Division.
Despite efforts from Henrico Fire to administer life-saving measures, they were unsuccessful and Autumn Crittendon was pronounced dead at the scene.
She appeared in the fifth season of 16 and Pregnant in 2014, during which the birth of her eldest son Drake was documented, whom she shared with her then-partner Dustin Franklin. She was a mother to three children.
A few days after she passed away, her sister, Misty Crittendon, posted a heartfelt tribute on Facebook, referring to Autumn as her "beautiful baby twin." Misty expressed her determination to keep Autumn's memory alive, reflecting on how she had always fought for her and would continue to do so.
She also shared her grief over Autumn Crittendon's sudden departure while reaffirming her commitment to supporting her and her children.

Misty in her now-deleted social media post expressed her deep grief, reflecting on how Autumn was taken from them at such a young age, before anyone had the chance to say goodbye or express their love and admiration for her.
She spoke about how proud they were of Autumn for staying sober through the most difficult times in her life, how far she had come, and the gratitude they felt for having shared those years with her.
Misty went on to say that she felt as though part of her died with Autumn Crittendon and struggled to see how she could recover from the loss.
She recalled the heartbreaking moment of arriving at the scene, seeing the vehicles and an empty ambulance, and rushing out of the truck to plead with the paramedics and police for reassurance.
However, her worst fears were confirmed, and she collapsed on the road. Taking to her Facebook on October 21, 2024, she wrote,
“Growing up, it was always just the two of us. We did it all together, even becoming mothers. Then we raised our babies together and they then did everything together. We miss you so much, beautiful. I love you more than you’ve ever known.”

Sources informed TMZ that at the time of her death, Autumn Crittendon had been dealing with heartburn and illness. Additionally, she had reportedly been diagnosed with diabetes and experienced kidney problems.
