The Killing Me Softly star, Heather Graham, recently opened up about not having children. The 55-year-old actress gets into a candid conversation about never having kids and also claims she does not regret the decision. Graham, who began her acting career in the '80s, made her Hollywood debut with Greg Beeman's 1988 teen comedy flick License to Drive.
The Boogie Night actress, Heather Graham, who has been in a romantic relationship with professional snowboarder John de Neufville since 2022, has a long dating history. Graham has had relationships and was linked to a bunch of high-profile Hollywood personalities over the years. Some of the names on her dating list include A-listers like Russell Crowe and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Despite not wanting to have kids of her own, Heather is fine with the fact that her current partner, John, shares a son, who is 10, with her ex, Alison Wise. According to Independent, during an interview with The Guardian, the Drugstore Cowboy actress said:
"I think I’ve had moments where I wondered: what would it have been like if I had a kid? I guess I would say 80 per cent of the time I feel glad I don’t have kids, and I feel free and really good about it, and maybe 20 per cent of the time I wonder what would it be like. You just have to appreciate the life you have."
Besides being an actress, Graham is also a writer and a director. She has written and directed films such as Half Magic, which was her directorial debut, and Chosen Family, which was released in 2024.
Heather, who has advocated for Children International (a nonprofit humanitarian organization) and showed her support for Global Cool in 2007, which was a climate change campaign, during the interview with The Guardian, admitted that she commends women who go against societal norms and general expectations to have kids. The actress/director added:
"I do think it’s awesome now that more women are expressing their desire to not have kids. The culture says: ‘You need to have kids.’ But why? If you’re not being a people pleaser, what do you really want?"
