Rapper Young Thug shared an X post on October 19, 2024, in which he tagged Future, Drake, and Metro Boomin and wrote that music would not be the same without their collaboration. The rapper reportedly shared the post from jail, trying to act as a peacemaker to end the feud among the tagged rappers.

Although Future did not respond to the X post directly, he retweeted. This has made fans pour in their reactions over social media. One X user wrote:

“hes embarrassing. he wants another hit so bad.”

Social media users reacted by suggesting that Young Thug should make peace with rapper Gunna, while others mentioned that Future needed another hit.

“Future needs that new hit single again,” a person commented.
“Thug really the goat for this,” a netizen wrote.
“Someone tell young thug to make peace with gunna as well,” a user reacted.

Netizens commented that they did not want Drake to work with the other rappers, while others backlashed Future.

“I doubt we ever hear Drake on a Metro beat again …,” another X user mentioned.
“I hope Drake don’t work with none of these guys ever again,” a social media user reacted.
“nah no way he reposting thug tweet tryna make amends w drake after he got everyone who hated drake on his album & caused the whole thing,” a netizen commented.

Young Thug is incarcerated as he battles the YSL RICO trial. Having collaborated frequently, including on Drake's Way 2 Sexy from Certified Lover Boy, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 2021, Thug used his neutral position to ease tensions between the artists.

Drake recently supported Young Thug regarding his ongoing trial

Recently, Drake expressed his support for the rapper by sharing a photo on social media wearing clothing from Thugger’s Sp5der brand. He hinted at providing financial assistance to Thug during his legal battle, emphasizing his tangible support rather than just offering words of encouragement. He wrote on his Instagram story,

“I ain’t talking to talk man I really put up (bread emoji) on the (briefcase emoji) 3 Jeff.”

Young Thug has been incarcerated since May 2022, but after a lengthy 10-month jury selection process, the trial officially began in November 2023, marking the longest criminal trial in Georgia's history.

During this time, Drake has consistently used his platform to advocate for Young Thug’s release, even referencing him in several tracks. Before his incarceration, he toured with Drake on the Boy Meets World Tour.

Metro Boomin addressed the ongoing tension between Drake and Kendrick Lamar during a Forbes Under 30 Summit in September 2024. He remarked that competition is healthy for the hip-hop industry, noting that the genre has always been rooted in rivalry.

He downplayed the seriousness of the feud, emphasizing that much of it is driven by ego, as artists are naturally inclined to see themselves as the best in the game.
