Christina Ricci, who attained widespread popularity after appearing in the film The Addams Family in 1991, revealed a disturbing incident that happened in her life that year.
Ricci, while speaking to Jimmy Kimmel on the April 10 episode of the late-night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live! shared that she and her friends received a mail of a photo of a man’s g*nitals. This incident occurred in 1991 when Christina Ricci was in her preteens.
Sharing more details about the unsettling incident, Ricci said,
“When I was 11, I had a group of girlfriends, and we would all call 1-800-Mattress…we prank-called them so much that we ended up having a regular guy that we would talk to named Jared…until one of these idiot girls gave Jared her address, and he sent a picture of his p*nis.”

Kimmel, with whom Christina Ricci shared the incident, was intrigued about the amount of effort the man named Jared undertook, given that, at the time, digital technology had not developed much. Kimmel, giving the incident a lighthearted spin, said,
“Jared got a camera..developed it [the photo]…He got the packet back…then he put it in the mail…he gets an 'A' for effort and 'P' for pervert.”
On a similar note, Christina Ricci, who had come to terms with the traumatizing incident, shared details about the unsettling mail with a lighthearted yet critical indifference toward the creepy act. Ricci cringed and said,
“It certainly was the first d*ck pic I saw.”
Christina Ricci on being a child actor
Christina Ricci, who was recently honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, has been candid about her experiences as a child actor, and gaining stardom in the 90s in Hollywood.

Ricci shared with Kimmel the reactions that she would receive from her fans. She revealed,
“People would always hug me…being a part of people’s childhood and stuff like that…I now really don’t go for the hug, because I have learnt boundaries…I have learnt it is better establishing boundaries.”
Ricci first appeared in the film Mermaids in 1990. The film, which tells the story of a single mother and her children growing up in the 1960s, earned the nine-year-old Ricci rave reviews from critics. As per People Magazine, Ricci spoke about the superstar Cher, who played the role of the nine-year-old’s mother in the film. Ricci said,
“I learned a ton from her. I could ask her directly, ‘How do you do it? How do you make yourself cry?’ And she would try to help me learn how to do it. She was great.”

According to a report by Fox News, Christina Ricci, while appearing in the documentary Child Star, shared the importance of her experience on film and TV sets. According to Ricci, stardom at a young age helped her escape the disturbing reality of her domestic situation. Ricci said,
“My father was a failed cult leader, and so he had all that same sort of, like, really crazy narcissism that goes along with someone wanting to run a cult…He was very physically violent. There was never any peace in my house.”
Mermaids was followed by the film adaptation of The Addams Family in 1991, in which Ricci played the role of Wednesday Addams. Her role in the film is considered her breakthrough performance, which brought attention to her intuitive comic timing.
According to People Magazine, Ricci has also been candid about the feelings of accomplishment alongside being a child star. She said,
“I loved working. I loved being a kid who had a talent…loved being good at something. I loved all that positive reinforcement I got every day. I loved getting to use my imagination in a way that really created things. It was incredible to be able to do that so young.”
Following the success of The Addams Family film series, Ricci bagged the role of Kat Harvey, a teenage girl who befriends a ghost named Casper in Casper. Casper became a big commercial success and cemented Christina Ricci as an important figure in the childhood memories of kids in the 90s.
