"He’s on top of the world right now!" — Internet reacts to Kendrick Lamar reportedly writing the title track for Captain America: Brave New World

Anthony Mackie has affirmed that Kendrick Lamar wrote the title track for his new film, Captain America: Brave New World.

Following Lamar's strong presence at the Grammys and his halftime performance at the Super Bowl, he will now be collaborating with the MCU for the second time. Speaking with Entertainment Tonight during an interview, Mackie confirmed that Lamar has already recorded the title track, which is rumored to be christened Brave New World.

News of the same has already broken out on X, and fans could not be more thrilled: Both at the prospect of a new Lamar song and for Anthony Mackie. Reactions have already begun pouring in, and here's what one fan said, for example:

"He’s on top of the world right now!"

The rest of the comments section was visibly abuzz with chatter as well:

"this film is getting better and better then," one user opined.
"I think kendrick decides when he wants to rule the world or not," another quipped.
"YES OMG I'M THERE DAY ONE," someone else stated.
"It just keeps getting better," yet another echoed.

The comments didn't end there, as some even speculated about how Drake must be feeling right now:

"This just adds more salt to Drake's wound," someone claimed.
"Kendrick stay busy," another noted.
"Kendrick dropping beats for Captain America? Now that's a super collaboration!" one user opined.

The masses online were visibly teeming with excitement upon learning of the news.

While speaking to an Entertainment Weekly reporter, Anthony Mackie revealed that "Kendrick Lamar did the title song for his movie." He went on, joking that he "hopes that's not supposed to be a surprise." He also added that he's "excited," citing the "beauty and mastery of his craft."

"I feel like this movie has been set up in every way. Like I remember the day Kevin Feige called me and he goes "We got Harrison Ford." I had to pull over," he added.

Marvel has already been using Kendrick Lamar's hit track N95 to promote the track, while Brave New World is expected to be available for streaming on all platforms.


As for Mackie's upcoming film and his first solo since embodying the role of Captain America, we will see Wilson learning how to tackle the responsibility that comes with the title. He must figure out his path without the Super Soldier Serum.
