Rappers Lil Pump and Eminem now seem to be at loggerheads over political endorsements. The former has been a supporter of Donald Trump and had previously backlashed famous personalities like Taylor Swift for supporting Kamala Harris.
The recent issue happened after Eminem made a surprise appearance at Kamala Harris' campaign rally in Detroit on October 23, 2024, where he strongly supported Harris. However, Pump disapproved this and took to Instagram Live the following day to criticize the Without Me singer. He said,
“You're a f*cking piece of sh*t for going on stage and speaking at Kamala Harris sh*t. You're a f*cking piece of sh*t for taking a picture with Obama.”
His reactions were not well-received by netizens as they backlashed Lil Pump for his comments. One X user wrote,
“Damn he really wants Em to turn him into a song?”
Social media users compared the two rappers saying that Eminem could overpower Lil Pump while others referred to the situation as ‘clout chasing.’
“Eminem can end this lil nigga easily,” a netizen reacted.
“If he really felt a way he'd drop some bars,” a social media user commented.
“Perfect example of clout chasing,” a person wrote.
Others responded that meddling in someone else’s voting choices wastes time.
“Another one bites the dust,” another X user reacted.
“I never never understand why people give a f*ck on who other ppl vote for like it’s a waste of time,” an online user mentioned.
“Thats suprisingly one of the more cogent arguments I have heard today from MAGAites,” a netizen commented.
“Why Hailie catching strays for????” a person pointed out.
Lil Pump claimed that Eminem’s hatred towards Donald Trump could ruin the country
Lil Pump argued that Eminem's strong dislike for Donald Trump has clouded his judgment, accusing him of prioritizing his disdain for Trump over the well-being of the country. Taking his criticism further than anticipated, Pump also mentioned the rapper’s daughter, Hailie, in a negative context.
In August 2024, Lil Pump claimed in an Instagram video that he would leave America if Kamala Harris became the President. He later claimed on X that he planned to perform a diss track targeting President Joe Biden and Vice President Harris at Trump’s next rally which he did not.
Following the announcement of Harris as the potential Democratic nominee to succeed Biden, Pump expressed his disapproval on X, criticizing her background and past actions related to cannabis offenses, while also reaffirming his support for Trump in 2024.
Meanwhile, in the Detroit rally, Eminem expressed that with heightened attention on the election, it was crucial to make voices heard. He believed Vice President Harris advocated for a future where freedom and other important rights would be safeguarded.
He addressed the crowd, emphasizing his deep connection to Detroit and Michigan highlighting the intense focus on this election, and urged everyone to make their voices heard by voting.
Eminem then welcomed Obama to the stage, who entered to the beat of Lose Yourself. The former president made a playful reference to the song with a joke about his “palms being sweaty” before reciting several lines from the track.
