Kendrick Lamar won the Record of the Year at this year's Grammys for his Drake diss-track Not Like Us, and fans are going ballistic.

Scores online are now taking this as proof that Lamar is the better artist out of the two, with some even declaring him the winner in his ongoing feud with Drake. The track dominated the charts all last year, and his other track, Like That, which paved the way for the feud, also earned a Grammy nominee.

Netizens have been dishing out their responses online, and here's what one user declared, for example:

"HE OWNS DRAKE."

The comments were pouring in online, as everyone wanted to join the discourse about who was the better artist:

"He won the grammy on Drakes head. That puts the beef to rest and debate is over hahaha," someone opined.
"The industry awarding Kendrick 4 times for a Drake diss track. I would HATE to be Drake rn," another jested.
"Kendrick won 4 grammys on a song calling drake a pdf like drake you HAVE to retire," yet another poked fun.
"Yup!!! It was all set up to take down drake. Shout out kendrick lamar. But something smells fishy here," one user speculated.

Scores online had a lot to say:

"Birds of a feather deserved.. but whatever," someone opined.
"Billie and chappel’s award," another echoed.
"Come on now????" someone else questioned.
"Even beyoncé was bopping to it," one user pointed out.

While some users were happy for Kendrick Lamar, others were of the opinion that Billie Eilish may have been better suited for the win with her track, Birds of a Feather.

Kendrick Lamar's acceptance speeches at Grammys:

Miley Cyrus presented the award to Lamar, who jokingly stated that she might just say Beyonce won the award instead. Upon making his way up to the stage and accepting the record of the year win, Kendrick Lamar said he was “gonna dedicate this one [award] to the city” of Los Angeles:

“Compton, Watts, Long Beach, Inglewood, Hollywood, out to the Valley, Pacoima, IE, San Bernardino, all that,” he says. “You know, this is my neck of the woods that held me down … since I was in the studio scrapping to write the best raps and all that, in order to do records like these.”

Not long after, he took to the stage once again to accept the award for the same diss track. The award was presented to him by Diana Ross, who said, moments before she called him on stage:

"How can we have the balance between celebrating and being filled with sorrow? Even as we face trials and tributes with our soul, music brings us home,” she told the audience. “You are not alone, we stand with you, my heart reaches out to you.”

Lamar continues:

“So I can’t give enough thanks, you know, to these places that I rolled around since high school. And most importantly, the people and the families out in the Palisades and Altadena. This is a true testament that we can continue to restore this city. And yeah, we gonna keep rocking.”

The rapper emerged from backstage, accepted his award, and reflected on his presenter's remarks.

"Damn, that’s Diana Ross,” he said while chuckling. And said, “I’m starstruck."

Kendrick Lamar then decided to pay tribute to all the West Coast rap stars who came before him:

“All the West Coast artists, from early on — G Malone, Problem, Bad Lucc, K-Bo, Daylyt … these are the cats that inspired me to be the MC I am today,” he said. “Schoolboy, J-Roc, Ab-Soul, this is what it’s about, man. Because at the end of the day, nothing more powerful than rap music — I don’t care what it is. We are the culture.” He concluded, “To all the young artists, like my man Punch say, I just hope you respect the art form. It’ll get you where you need to go.”

Kendrick Lamar came on top against other artists in the running for the record of the year category, including The Beatles for Now And Then, Beyoncé for Texas Hold ‘Em, Sabrina Carpenter for Espresso, Charli XCX for 360, Billie Eilish for Birds of a Feather, Chappell Roan for Good Luck, Babe! and Taylor Swift featuring Post Malone for Fortnight.
