Damien Leone's Terrifier 3 had the internet in a chokehold when it came out, given its morbid narrative and gruesome visuals. In an interview with Discussing Films, the director, who also served as the writer, producer, editor, and makeup artist for the film, revealed that he plans to add two more sequels to the mix. Speaking about the main character, Art the Clown, he said:

"On one level, I would absolutely love to see him in space or go to Las Vegas or the Wild West. For me, personally, as a storyteller, I think that my well is going to eventually run dry, plainly because I pack so much into each movie.”

In light of Terrifier 3 clocking in at over 2 hours, the director revealed that he would be axing the screen time down to about 90 minutes. Regardless, the internet was fuming, albeit sarcastically, with many noting the series has already come to an end. Some even compared it to the Fast & Furious franchise, infamous for claiming every film is its last. As one user tweeted:

"He needs to stop before this becomes fast 37."
"We get the idea at this point, Damien," one user tweeted.
"At least he knows there's a limit of what he can create from on character. I hope he will not change his mind along the way. As not being a fan of the horror genre, I think he created great movies (as much as I can appreciate as a non-fan). A bit of very dark humour as well," another chimed in.
"Didn't he just say that the 4th one would be an epic finale to the Art character? Has he already gone back on that?" someone asked.
"Tbh I thought it should’ve ended at the 3rd expected a 4th after watching tho don’t think there should be more shouldn’t turn into a Friday the 13th or Halloween type thing," someone else stated.

Several others echoed the sentiments:

"Will be one too many, I think. Needs to wrap the narrative up w/ the next one & then move on to other things," one user shared.
"I think the Terrifier films are great, but the sequels should start being held to a higher standard, they've deserved that, i wanna see a deeper plot and better characters beside Sienna and Art," another opined.
"In another podcast he said he didn’t want to drag it out and that he thinks he only needs 1 movie but if he absolutely needs to making a 5th one to close out the story he would," someone pointed out.
