The long-running dispute took a new turn with Jim Jones' recent jabs against Ma$e. The Dipset member publicly questioned Ma$e's appearance in a March 4, 2025, interview with XXL, making several intimate comments regarding his weight and well-being.
Jones stated plainly:
“He need to go on a diet. He need to get his life together. He need to go to the doctor and get a physical. He look terrible.”
Jones continued by emphasizing his remarks, saying:
“Na look big around the neck, waist look crazy. I’m body-shaming this na."
He continued saying:
"He need to go get his sh*t together, get on the treadmill, do some push-ups, do something, especially if you’re playing with me. You gonna need it.”
Jim Jones's longstanding feud
Jim Jones and Ma$e have a long history of hostility, and his current remarks are only the most recent. Even though their problems have been brewing for years, they have just come to light again, especially in light of Ma$e and Cam'ron's current collaboration on their sports talk program, It Is What It Is.
The dynamic became more complicated due to public arguments between Jim Jones and Cam'ron, who were previously close pals while they were members of The Diplomats.
Ma$e and Cam'ron were childhood friends who joined the rap profession in the late 1990s, marking the beginning of their relationship. However, Jones claims that after becoming well-known under Bad Boy Records, Ma$e cut ties with Cam'ron. Jones remembered how Ma$e reportedly changed after becoming famous in January when appearing on Justin Laboy's Respectfully podcast.
Jim Jones stated:
“I watched Ma$e sh*t on Cam and everybody around him. Like, all the time. I was Cam’s man, you heard? Cam and Ma$e were so-called best friends, grew up together… I was there for everything. That’s one thing people can’t never say, is that I wasn’t there for every single thing.”
He continued by saying that despite the alleged mistreatment, Cam'ron was devoted to Ma$e:
“Cam was jumping out the window for him, which a friend should. Like, being overprotective, making sure nothing happens. He was trying his best to make sure that Ma$e stayed as safe as possible. But Ma$e had got that money and lost his motherf**king mind.”
Jim Jones has been concentrating on his musical career as his spat with Ma$e and Cam'ron continues. His first solo album in six years, At the Church Steps, was recently published. It is a sequel to his 2004 debut album, On My Way to Church.
Jones stressed in his XXL interview that his most recent endeavor reflects his artistic development and his 20-year hip-hop career. He is dedicated to his art and wouldn't allow his legacy to be overshadowed by past grudges despite the turmoil surrounding him.
Although Ma$e has not yet addressed Jim Jones' most recent comments, their history suggests that this dispute is unlikely to end anytime soon.
